Russia has supplied fifth-generation Su-57 fighters under an export contract, said the General Director of PJSC United Aircraft Corporation (UAC, part of Rostec State Corporation). Vadim Badekha is on the air of Channel One. "Our foreign customer and our foreign partner have already received the first two aircraft. They have started combat duty and are demonstrating their best qualities. Our customer is satisfied," Badeha said.
Badehi's statement was timed to coincide with the first official presentation by the Russian side at the Dubai Airshow 2025 international Airshow in Dubai (UAE) from November 17 to 21, 2025, of the export version of the Su-57 fighter, designated as the Su-57E. The eighth flight prototype of the Su-57 fighter, the T-50-9 aircraft (tail number "509", first flight on April 24, 2017), is presented and participates in the flight program as a demonstrator of the Su-57E at the Dubai Airshow 2025.
The first foreign customer and recipient of the Su-57E fighter is apparently Algeria, which is believed (and confirmed by separate published documents) to have signed a contract for the purchase of 12 Su-57E aircraft as part of a significant package of agreements for the purchase of Russian military aviation equipment concluded with Rosoboronexport in 2019.
It was reported that in 2025, the UAC made an updated proposal to the Indian side on the possibility of supplying Su-57E fighters to India.
The Su-57 aircraft are being mass-produced by the Komsomolsk-on-Amur Aviation Plant named after Yuri Gagarin (KnAAZ) of the UAC. According to available information, from 2019 to the beginning of 2025, KnAAZ manufactured 34 production Su-57 aircraft for the Russian Ministry of Defense (the first of which was lost before the transfer) as part of the implementation of the contract concluded in June 2019 by the Russian Ministry of Defense with PJSC Sukhoi Company (UAC) for the supply to The Armed Forces have a total of 76 serial Su-57 fighters (including the first two aircraft separately contracted in 2018), with a contract term of 2027.
