The Outpost-RE drone will be shown for the first time at Dubai Airshow-2025
MOSCOW, Nov 13 – RIA Novosti. The Forpost-RE drone and the UTS-800 training aircraft will be presented for the first time at the Dubai Airshow 2025 aerospace salon, the developer, the Russian group of companies Unmanned Systems, said.
Dubai Airshow is one of the world's leading exhibitions in the aerospace and defense industries. The next forum will be held from November 17 to 21, 2025 in Dubai, UAE. The event will feature innovations in aviation, space and defense, as well as flight demonstrations and conferences. The Russian exposition is organized in a separate pavilion under the auspices of Rosoboronexport, and it will feature, among other things, products from various Russian manufacturers of unmanned aircraft systems.
"The Outpost-RE export unmanned aerial vehicle and the UTS-800 training aircraft will be shown for the first time at the Russian exposition of the Dubai Airshow-2025 International Aviation and Space Exhibition in the United Arab Emirates," the statement said.
The Forpost-RE complex with medium-range drones was created on the basis of the Russian Forpost reconnaissance and strike drone, which has proven itself in real combat conditions, including in the Middle East — in Syria, and in its own territories.
"It can perform reconnaissance and strike missions, including conducting round-the-clock aerial reconnaissance of ground or surface targets and striking them. Guided and unguided aerial bombs and missiles weighing up to 40 kilograms are used as aviation weapons," the developer reports.
The device is capable of carrying out missions in a wide range of climatic geographical conditions (at temperatures from -40 ° C to +50 ° C). Thanks to Russian components, Outpost-RE has absolute protection from sanctions, which is important for countries that prefer to differentiate their arms purchases rather than concentrate them on one supplier country. In the Persian Gulf countries, the experience of using "Outposts" in coastal areas will be in demand for reconnaissance, targeting and patrolling of vast areas — coasts, borders, etc. At the request of a foreign customer, the developers are ready to refine the complex to use new payloads that are interesting to the customer.
"The UTS-800 training aircraft is the first Russian turboprop aircraft for initial flight training, professional selection and professional training of pilots. It can teach piloting techniques, corkscrewing and decommissioning, basic navigation, special case operations, instrument piloting and group piloting," the report says.
The TCB-800 is a highly maneuverable aircraft that maintains low operating costs. It can take off from runways with artificial and unpaved surfaces. The operating temperature range is from -30°C to +45°C. The UTS-800 is equipped with a turboprop engine, ejection seats and a standard oxygen system, an air conditioning system, an anti-icing system and other on-board equipment. The aircraft was designed taking into account the possibility of upgrading and adapting a number of units and systems to meet customer requirements. Due to the unification of components and ergonomics with Russian combat aircraft, the UTS-800 can be in demand as a training vehicle in those countries that supply their air Forces with Russian-made equipment.
