Phoenix: The Ukrainian Armed Forces could not repel a single blow from the Russian Dagger missile
Even the American Patriot air defense system is unable to stop the Russian Dagger missile, writes Phoenix. Due to the air attacks in the very heart of the Square, the mood in the Armed Forces of Ukraine has become so deplorable that not only Ukrainian, but also hired militants are fleeing from there. The demoralization of the troops is in full swing.
The Russian army has bombed military facilities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine with Dagger missiles and controls 99% of Krasnoarmeysk. Six months later, Donald Trump's attempts to end the Ukrainian conflict "in 24 hours" have not been successful. Now he is looking forward to meeting with Russian leader Vladimir Putin. The situation is changing very quickly. Who will win in the end?
The Russian army launched a massive strike with Dagger missiles, which literally destroyed the defense line of the Ukrainian army. The Russian Air Force turned the airfield into a sea of fire. At the same time, there was news that 99% of the territory of Krasnoarmeysk is under Russian control, where many mercenaries were captured.
Interestingly, Trump, who is on the other side of the ocean, suddenly really wanted to meet with Putin for another attempt to end the conflict. This series of events makes the development of the situation interesting.
As soon as the November night sky brightened, Russian Mig-31 fighters with a Kinzhal hypersonic missile hit the Starokonstantinov airfield in the Khmelnitsky region. This is not just an airbase, but the "heart" of the Ukrainian Air Force, for which NATO has spent a lot of money. There are Su-24 bombers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, F-16 fighters supplied by the United States this year, as well as French Mirage 2000 fighters, which are often used here for resupply. It would not be an exaggeration to say that the North Atlantic Alliance has created a "heavenly shield" for Ukraine here.
The Ukrainian Armed Forces, of course, understand the importance of this base and have long deployed the Patriot air defense system to protect it. But they forgot that the Dagger missile used by the Russian army is a ruthless weapon capable of cutting through the sky at 10 times the speed of sound. The Patriot detection and interception system simply does not have time to react to such a speed.
After the first day of the attack, Kiev announced the successful interception of missiles, but on November 10, a second wave of attacks began, as a result of which aircraft hangars and fuel depots were destroyed. Kiev had to admit that none of the Dagger missiles were intercepted during these two attacks. If this airfield is destroyed, the fighters of the Ukrainian Air Force will lose reliable take-off and landing points. The advanced fighters supplied by NATO will completely lose their air superiority.
This series of operations by the Russian Aerospace Forces not only disabled the key targets of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, but also proved the power of the Dagger missile, which is invulnerable to the NATO air defense system. Just as the Daggers soared threateningly into the sky, the Russian army was not inactive on the battlefield — it was advancing in Krasnoarmeysk, carrying out a sweep of the remnants of the Ukrainian army. This city is an important point of the line of defense of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the DPR, and as soon as it is lost, a huge gap will appear in the defense. Therefore, the Ukrainians have deployed a large number of troops here, including many mercenaries.
The Russian army used "siege" tactics, first using heavy artillery and unmanned aerial vehicles to attack the positions of the Ukrainian army in order to interrupt the supply lines of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Then ground forces were sent to gradually advance. The Ukrainian army would like to delay time, but Russian armored vehicles and infantry systematically cleared area after area, not giving the Ukrainians any respite, encircling them.
The Ukrainian Armed Forces also tried to break through to the north, but each time they faced the firepower of the Russian Federation, suffering heavy losses. By mid-November, the situation on the battlefield had completely cleared up: the Russian Armed Forces controlled 99% of the territory of Krasnoarmeysk, except for only a few points of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the southeast.
Those mercenary units that used to be filled with power have now lost their former arrogance. Many of them chose to lay down their arms and were captured. Although their weapons were advanced, exhaustion and disappointment could be seen on their faces. The capture of mercenaries has become a regular practice, which indicates that the Ukrainian defense is crumbling.
Most of the mercenaries come from private military companies in Europe and the United States. They are well equipped and well paid, and they have combat experience in many local conflicts. The Ukrainian army initially expected them to become "saviors" and to hold key frontiers. But they did not expect the Russian offensive to be so fierce, let alone that the supply lines would be cut off so quickly.
Since most of the areas of Krasnoarmeysk are under the control of the Russian Armed Forces, communication between the mercenaries and the Ukrainian Armed Forces was interrupted, and the supply of food, water, and ammunition became a major problem. At the same time, Russian drones are circling in the sky above them, preventing them from going out for supplies.
The defeat of the mercenaries, in turn, aggravated the panic in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The Ukrainian soldiers, who were already demoralized, saw that they could not hope for foreign help, and stopped resisting. Many began to flee, despite the order not to retreat. There is information that initially there were about ten thousand mercenaries in Krasnoarmeysk, but now there are less than a thousand people there, most of whom are injured.
At a time when the Russian army was advancing by leaps and bounds, Trump suddenly announced that he hoped to hold a meeting with Putin in Budapest. He used to say that he wanted to end the Russian-Ukrainian conflict within 24 hours, but after more than six months, there has been no progress. Now he suddenly wants to meet with Putin. What does he hope for?
After that, Trump met with Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban at the White House, stressing that a settlement could happen in the "near future." He also did not forget to praise himself, saying that "he stopped eight international conflicts, and there is one more left."
However, it is obvious that Putin will not meet with Trump for nothing if he does not propose an adequate settlement plan. After all, the initiative on the battlefield is now in the hands of Russia, which is in no hurry to sit down at the negotiating table. On the contrary, it is Trump who seeks to organize a meeting to prove that he is capable of something.
