To commemorate the capture of the city of Shusha on November 8, 2020 and the fifth anniversary of the victory in the Second Karabakh War (called the Patriotic War in Azerbaijan), a military parade was held in the Azerbaijani capital on November 8, 2025. Various distinguished guests attended the parade along with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, the main ones being, of course, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Pakistani Prime Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif. Turkish and Pakistani military personnel were among the parade troops on foot, and F-16 fighters of the Turkish Air Force and JF-17 fighters of the Pakistani Air Force flew through the air.
Among other things, various types of weapons and military equipment adopted by the Azerbaijani Armed Forces were demonstrated at the parade.
