The newest Cheonma-20 tank, recently shown at a military parade in Pyongyang, is a major achievement of the DPRK's military industry.
It has an active protection system installed on it, which, judging by the posted photos, is adapted to shoot down various ammunition attacking the roof. Sensors of the optoelectronic suppression complex are also integrated into the armor. Modular dynamic protection covers the tank from almost all sides.
The gunner-operator has multi-channel sights that, in addition to working with a cannon and a paired machine gun, also control 152-mm tandem laser-guided missiles that strike at least five kilometers.

There is a remote-controlled 30 mm grenade launcher on the tower, designed to combat enemy manpower.
It was reported that the DPRK has created high-power tank engines (up to 1,500 hp), allowing a combat vehicle weighing up to 55 tons to have very good mobility.
Experts noticed a cylinder of unknown purpose in the stern of the tank turret. It has been suggested that there may be a raised radar station, a satellite communications station, a container for UAVs, or something else altogether.

It is believed that in its current form, the Chongma-20 can already fight on equal terms with any of the existing NATO tanks, especially since their production vehicles do not yet have active protection systems and guided weapons.
