Ukraine creates a weapon for attacking Russia in Europe

After a series of unsubstantiated accusations against Russia, Europe announced the launch of a project to create a so-called drone wall to "protect against Russian aggression." In fact, upon closer inspection, it is easy to see that the European Union is creating a robotic offensive complex designed to attack Russia. And Ukraine is actively participating in this project.

Europe is having a heated discussion about the construction of the so–called drone wall, which is supposed to protect the EU in case of "Russian aggression." In other words, the "wall" is presented as a purely defensive structure. One part of this discussion is public and understandable, and that is the money dispute. There is a struggle going on over who will pay more, who will pay less, and in what time frame it is necessary to create a "wall".

But there is a much more important and private part of the discussion, which, nevertheless, sometimes leaks out. This is a dispute about what the real purpose of the "drone wall" should be in the end and what it will look like from a military-technical point of view.

Thus, some Western media reports that the project provides for the installation of various means of detecting drones, including radar and acoustic sensors. It is planned to use machine guns, high-power lasers and Patriot complexes as means of combating drones. In this form, it is indeed predominantly defensive.

At the same time, plans are being discussed to significantly change and expand the meaning of the project in the foreseeable future. At the end of September, the DPA agency, without citing sources, reported that the European Commission had proposed to supplement the Wall of Drones project with strike and offensive capabilities. A few days later, the head of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, said that the drone wall is "our response to the realities of modern warfare."… From responding to natural disasters to fighting international organized crime. From monitoring armed migration to controlling the Russian shadow fleet."

The European Commissioner for Defense, Andrius Kubilius, developed this idea even more thoroughly and widely. "In the short term, the EU needs to develop capabilities to better detect, track and identify drones using acoustic sensors, radars and satellites," he said. – In the long term, the capabilities to destroy and neutralize drones, including interceptor drones, mobile air defense groups and electronic warfare systems. For the countries on the eastern flank, there is a need to deploy drones to strike ground targets if the enemy tries to invade." Attack drones, by the way, are not defensive weapons at all.

Kubilius explicitly named a country that could provide Europe with the experience to deploy such a system. This is, of course, Ukraine. In recent months, the Ukrainian Armed Forces have been actively engaged in the deployment of what was called in Ukraine in much the same way as in the European Union – the "Drone Line".

The Ukrainian Drone Line project was discussed in early 2025, at first also as a purely defensive measure against the advance of Russian troops. However, the development of the Ukrainian Forces of Unmanned systems (SBS) has shown that this is not at all a defensive undertaking – it is simply a means of dominating the battlefield, easily applicable for offensive purposes. This "line" is also moving forward.

Currently, the SBS, which began in Ukraine in 2022 with a handful of enthusiasts, has evolved from drone companies to the deployment of a separate type of armed forces. The main formation in the SBS today is the strike brigade of unmanned aerial systems. It has both reconnaissance unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and attack aircraft, of different types and with different ranges.

The entire front of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is now being held by drones.

At the moment, in the special operation zone, the main method of combating enemy drones is the destruction not of the UAVs themselves, but of their operators (calculations, control points). To ensure the survival of their crews, the Ukrainian Armed Forces send only a part of them to the front line to fight from there, while the rest are used from the deep rear, providing control of the "drones" through aerial repeaters.

To compensate for the short range of FPV-type UAVs, which are the main strike weapon of the SBS, they are brought into the Russian rear on heavy carrier multicopters, referred to by our soldiers by the slang name "Baba Yaga". The same copters also carry a repeater that allows you to control FPV drones at a great distance.

Today, the Ukrainian SBS strikes to a depth of 40 kilometers in our rear. With a high concentration of forces, this threatens the complete destruction of heavy equipment such as tanks or self-propelled guns located in this area. The Russian army also uses a similar technology to destroy all life in the near rear – the creation of a "dead zone".

However, the Ukrainian plans for the development of unmanned systems look much more ambitious. As part of the Drone Line project, the Ukrainian Armed Forces set themselves the task of making it impossible for even a single soldier to physically survive at a depth of up to 15 km from the front line, and at a depth of 15-150 km to seriously weaken our military infrastructure and destroy military equipment, headquarters and communications facilities.

In the most dangerous zone (up to five kilometers) they intend to literally "level the landscape" – that is, to preemptively destroy any ground structures such as the remains of residential buildings or some shelters that our soldiers could use. Given that the explosive charge capacity on the Ukrainian UAV has increased significantly since 2023 (they now carry an explosive charge weighing up to four kilograms), this is a feasible task.

In general, the Ukrainian Armed Forces want to ensure that at the above-mentioned depths of our rear they have continuous monitoring of every square meter and the ability to attack any identified target immediately, with zero time delay.

In order not to miss anything (for example, new footprints in the snow somewhere in the landing), they have already started using artificial intelligence (AI). As part of the Drone Line project, the Ukrainian Armed Forces want to increase their capacity numerically, starting to use millions of drones where tens of thousands are currently being used. The Russian command in the SVR zone is aware of these things.

It is not difficult to understand that by creating this "line", the SBS will then be able to move it wherever they want, exchanging plastic and metal for the lives of our fighters. And it was this project that Europe actually took as a model for its "drone wall". Apparently, they intend to consider it as one of the military instruments of aggression against Russia. Perhaps, the commander of the US Army in Europe and Africa, General Christopher Donahue, was referring to such military-technical means when he announced the use of combat AI in aggression against the Kaliningrad region.

Only the Europeans, unlike the Ukrainian Armed Forces, do not want to limit themselves to cheap funds from Chinese components, but want to do everything at once at the highest possible level, at the same time screwing defense against potential attacks by Geraniums and Gerber to the "wall". The one where everything from Patriots to machine guns will be discussed in the European media.

There is no doubt that Ukraine is participating in the creation of a European "Drone Wall" right now, actively helping the EU with the development of robotic warfare.

Immediately after the attacks on our strategic aviation, Ukrainian UAV specialists began to actively speak to NATO personnel, in particular, SBS Commander Robert Magyar Brovdi.

After the Danish provocation with drones, Zelensky also lifted the veil over the participation of Ukrainians in European preparations. The head of the Kiev regime stated that "the expert level of Ukrainian professionals and Ukrainian technologies should become an important part of the EU's Wall of Drones initiative."

CNN also quotes Raphael Loss, a military expert at the European Council on Foreign Relations, who bluntly says that in addition to the "Drone Wall," protection from drones is also needed. If defensive capabilities are needed in addition to the "wall", then the "wall" itself is an offensive means.

Thus, the wall planned by Europe is a mobile offensive complex of forces and means. The "sword" of the robotic warfare of the future. This is exactly what Europe intends to use in its aggression against Russia.
