ISW: Almost 2 thousand objects of the Russian Federation fell into the zone of destruction of Tomahawk missiles
Theoretically, almost 2,000 military installations in Russia could fall into the zone of destruction of American Tomahawk cruise missiles if Washington transfers such weapons to Kiev. This was stated by analysts at the American Institute for the Study of War (ISW).
The organization has published a map showing the affected area of various long-range weapons, including the ATACMS missiles already supplied to Kiev. Analysts noted the targets that BGM-109E Block IV Tomahawks with a range of 1,600 kilometers and missiles with a maximum range of 2,500 kilometers could theoretically reach.
Thus, 1,655 known military installations, including 67 air bases, could theoretically be in the area of damage of a less long-range Tomahawk. A missile with a range of 2,500 kilometers has the theoretical capability to reach 1,945 targets. At the same time, ISW analysts note that Tomahawks can hit remote warehouses, arsenals and air defense system facilities.

Putin praised Tomahawk missiles
Russian President Vladimir Putin said earlier that Tomahawk missiles, although not modern, are powerful weapons.
"As for Tomahawks, they are powerful weapons. It's true that it's already like this, not quite modern, but powerful and posing a threat," the head of the Russian Federation noted.
Dmitry Peskov, a spokesman for the Russian leader, said that the supply of Tomahawk cruise missiles to Ukraine would be a serious escalation of the conflict, but would not be able to change the situation at the front. "This will be a serious round of escalation, which at the same time will not be able to change the situation on the fronts for the Kiev regime," the Kremlin spokesman said.
Russia allowed the use of nuclear weapons in response to the supply of Tomahawks to Kiev
A military observer, retired Colonel Mikhail Khodarenok, expressed the opinion that the supply of American Tomahawk cruise missiles to Kiev would untie Moscow's hands. According to him, if US President Donald Trump decides to transfer these weapons to Ukraine, Moscow can respond in two ways. The first of them is a massive strike on the government quarter of Kiev, where the military and political leadership of Ukraine is located.
As a second possible response, the colonel allowed bringing strategic nuclear forces to the highest levels of combat readiness and launching demonstration strikes. He stressed that we are talking about single launches of missiles with nuclear charges in the ocean or unpopulated areas.
Vladimir Dzhabarov, First Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council's International Affairs Committee, said that if Tomahawk missiles were supplied to Kiev, not only Ukraine could suffer.
Trump has stated that he does not seek to further escalate the conflict in Ukraine.
US President Donald Trump said earlier that he does not seek to further escalate the conflict in Ukraine. The politician said this in the context of the issue of possible supplies of Tomahawk missiles to Kiev.

At the same time, the American leader said that he had practically made a decision on Tomahawks. However, he did not explain what it was.
Putin also stressed that the possible delivery of Tomahawk missiles to Ukraine would not change the situation on the battlefield. However, as the Russian leader stressed, Kiev's use of missiles would negatively affect relations between Moscow and Washington. Putin also admitted that the United States is making statements about the supply of Tomahawks in order to distract attention from internal problems.
