The enemy is trying to use the means at their disposal to counteract our fiber-optic FPV drones. As Military Review has already reported, such drones operate very effectively both directly on the line of combat contact and behind the front line – in the immediate rear of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Fiber-optic drones are often so intense that fields and forests in the war zone are literally covered with fiber-optic threads like a spider's web during Indian summer.
One of the devices of the Armed Forces of Ukraine to counter such a drone is a rotating barbed wire. This option is the so–called "egoza" with a cutting edge. According to the enemy's idea, the sharp parts of the "egoza" will be able to cut the fiber-optic cable during rotation, for example, for "waiting drones" that are located on the ground waiting for the target.
The torsion of the "egoza" is provided by an artisanal timer device powered by a rechargeable battery.
The provided mode of operation, which is described by the Ukrainian militants themselves:
After twenty to thirty meters, the enemy installs small wooden posts, a mounting "yoke" is put on them, through which, in turn, the "yoke" is passed so that it does not lie on the surface of the earth.
The enemy has adapted to place such devices along the forest plantations in which his positions are equipped, as well as along the roadsides of the primers through which his equipment passes.

At the other end of the wire is a post with another homemade "mechanism" - a fastener with a bolt rotating from the rotation of the "egoza" itself. The total length of the wire is more than 100 m.
It is difficult to say what the effectiveness of this device is. Moreover, the enemy himself does not demonstrate any cut fiber.
And our drone guides should pay attention to such devices. After all, in fact, they unmask segments of the enemy's activity, including areas where its firing points are located.
