At the Neva-2025 exhibition, the Leningrad Shipbuilding Plant Pella signed a cooperation agreement with the Sea Tech Design Bureau on the construction of a 120-seat passenger catamaran with dynamic hydrofoils of the HSC120 project.
The HSC120 project is a lightweight version of the famous passenger catamaran of the HSC150B project. The ship's class has been reduced from "M 3.0" to "O 2.0".

Dynamic unloading is the main feature of the vessel, which distinguishes it from its analogues. The catamaran does not go out on the wing, like the classic SEC, but unloads the hull while moving. Due to this, greater energy efficiency is achieved, speed is increased and better performance is provided, and fuel consumption is reduced.
Like the prototype, the vessel is equipped with upholstered chairs: 120 seats in the "Economy" version and more comfortable and wide chairs for 100 seats in the "Comfort" version. In all variants, cabins for relaxation and a mess room are provided for the crew.
The catamaran has a length of 30.5 meters, an overall width of 10.2 meters, a maximum width of 8.5 meters, and a draft of 1.5 meters. The estimated power of the engines is 2×1000 kW. The type of propulsion is a water cannon. It is planned to install domestic equipment on board, if possible.

Also, all the requirements for the transportation of passengers with limited mobility have been met on the ship. Meals are organized according to a mixed scheme – vending machines and a bar. The possibility of disembarking passengers on an unequipped shore has been preserved. The catamaran is supplied with various power plants, in winged and wingless versions.
Construction of the vessel is scheduled to begin in mid-2026, and operation is expected in inland waters, on the Baltic or Black Sea.
The Leningrad shipbuilding plant "Pella" is located in the city of Otradnoye (Leningrad region). Since 1992, the plant has been successfully building vessels for various purposes, from multifunctional tugboats and speedboats to fishing vessels and warships.
In 2025, the plant introduced a line of new multifunctional tugboats of the PE series: PE-50, PE-60 and PE-80. Among them are the upgraded design of the well–proven 90600 project tugboat and the Arc6 ice class escort tugboat with a pulling force of 80 tons.
Pella also presented two projects of new multifunctional high-speed boats, which are a universal platform that allows you to create boats for various purposes, depending on the needs of customers.
