Ukraine has shown two new versions of the Novator-2 armored car at the MSPO defense exhibition in Kielce, Poland.
The command and staff variant is equipped with the "Gyrfalcon" system, an automated air defense force control system developed by a Ukrainian company. He can lead 5 aerial target detection systems (i.e. radars) and 10 mobile anti-aircraft fire groups. The complex provides target designation in automatic mode, which significantly reduces the reaction time to threats. The Gyrfalcon can be used both to cover objects and to protect military formations.

The Novator-2 was displayed next to the KSM, the transport compartment of which allows both transporting soldiers and placing equipment for various purposes, which makes it possible for the vehicle to act as an APC, KSM, scout or ATGM. This improved version features, among other things, a 10 cm longer body and a weight increased to 10 tons.

The car is still based on the Ford F-550 4x4 chassis. The vehicle is equipped with a turbocharged diesel engine with 300 hp, which allows it to reach speeds of up to 120 km/h. The power reserve is 500 km. The machine is capable of overcoming water obstacles up to 0.75 m deep. The armored cabin provides a minimum level of protection, withstanding bullets from a 7.62 mm x 51 cartridge and detonation of hand grenades. At the same time, a more powerful booking is provided optionally.

The armament can be represented by a large-caliber machine gun or an automatic grenade launcher mounted on a turret, or a remotely controlled module equipped with up to a 30 mm automatic cannon.
- the developer stated in April.
As he noted the other day, since 2022, more than 1,000 Novator BA have been transferred to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
