Submarine K-535 "Yuri Dolgoruky"
New exercises of the Russian fleet started on September 12. They envisage the deployment of large forces in the North Pacific, in particular, nuclear submarines and Bastion complexes designed to destroy enemy ships with a missile strike from the coast.

They will take place off the coasts of Kamchatka and Chukotka, located on the easternmost borders of Russia. As indicated, the new exercises began just a few days after the completion of the first joint patrol of Russian and Chinese submarines, which also took place in the North Pacific Ocean. The new approach to combat duty reflects the growing partnership between the two countries on defense issues.

In general, there is a noticeable increase in the activity of Russian nuclear submarines. This became possible due to the completion of the main part of the shipbuilding program related to this category of pennants.
