The Chinese military wants to destroy the American network of underwater sensors in the Pacific Ocean. In their opinion, this is necessary to ensure the safety of submarines of the Chinese Navy, primarily nuclear submarines, when entering the open sea from their bases.

He notes that many Chinese Navy officers consider their submarines too vulnerable to American underwater surveillance systems, so they would like to disable them.
