During the border clashes with Cambodian troops, the Thai Air Force used South Korean KGGB guided bombs (Korean GPS-Guided Bomb).
According to military sources quoted by the local press, the airstrikes near the Ta Moan Thom temple were carried out by F-16 fighter jets, dropping Mk.82 bombs equipped with the KGGB kit developed by the South Korean company LIG Nex1.
Allegedly, as a result of the attack, checkpoints, ammunition depots and at least two BM-21 Grad MLRS (or its Chinese or Czechoslovak replicas) located in Cambodia were destroyed. The relevant footage is posted online. Thus, the KGGB product made its debut on the battlefield.

The KGGB is a guidance kit that transforms conventional free-falling bombs into high-precision long-range weapons. According to the developer, thanks to the retractable wings and GPS guidance combined with the INS, the munition can hit targets at a range of 47 to 103 km with an accuracy of 4 to 13 m, depending on the launch conditions.

According to the developer, the technology is comparable to the American JDAM-ER system used by NATO forces, but has a lower cost. According to Janes, Thailand purchased 20 KGGB kits in 2022 for a total of about $2.8 million.
Foreign observers note that Thailand has taken advantage of its air and technical superiority by combining the use of F-16 fighter jets, T-50TN UBS, attack drones and precision weapons to attack Cambodian troops both on the march and on the contact line.
