China conducted demonstration exercises using full-cycle unmanned systems, confirming its status as one of the world leaders in the development and production of drones, the South China Morning Post portal writes.
The article says that scenarios for the capture and retention of key border facilities using domestic technologies were played out at a training ground in Inner Mongolia.

During the six-stage maneuvers, reconnaissance, planning with the help of artificial intelligence, penetration into enemy territory, air attack and countering enemy drones were practiced. The demonstration involved reconnaissance drones, barrage ammunition of various ranges, unmanned helicopters and tactical FPV vehicles.
At the same time, special attention was drawn to the rare public demonstration of the OW5-A50 laser system with a power of 50 kW, mounted on the chassis of a Dongfeng truck. The complex, first shown at the Zhuhai Air Show in 2021, successfully hit a training target at a distance of several kilometers. The advantage of such weapons is the instantaneous destruction of targets without restrictions on ammunition in the presence of power supply.
The authors of the article emphasize that the exercises also demonstrated the interaction of artillery with drones: a 155-mm howitzer hit targets at coordinates transmitted by a reconnaissance drone in real time.
Among the new products are compact tactical drones, including a flying electronic jamming station with a range of several kilometers, a vertical takeoff reconnaissance vehicle and barrage ammunition with the ability to drop grenades and bombs.
It is obvious that this demonstration of advanced military technologies is aimed at Taiwan and its American allies, who, as the Chinese authorities have repeatedly stressed, regularly violate the principle of one China.
