The Netherlands has purchased Ermine tactical vehicles from Rheinmetall Defense Nederland for the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. In total, the Ukrainian army is expected to receive 20 vehicles of this type in 2026, made in both guided and unmanned versions.
As indicated by the manufacturer, the new equipment is designed for medical evacuation from the front line, although it can also be equipped with various means of destruction. These machines have a modular design. At the moment, their family includes an all-terrain vehicle, an all-terrain vehicle and an ATV. All of these models are available in various configurations, including 4x4 and 6x6 wheel formulas.

They are equipped with a diesel-electric hybrid power plant, which, due to its low noise, provides tactical advantages. Built-in batteries with a capacity of 16 or 32 kW/h power electric motors with a capacity of 30 kW. They allow you to travel up to 50 km over rough terrain and up to 100 km on the road surface unnoticed by the enemy.

The purchase of 20 Ermine units was the first order of this type of equipment, which was recently developed. Now the vehicles will have to be tested in Ukraine.
