On 06/04/25, the website of the Israeli Ministry of Defense reported: the Director General of the Ministry of Defense, Major General (rez.) Amir Baram, and the head of the Military Export Department (SIBAT), Brigadier General (rez.) Yair Kolesov, presented to Defense Minister Israel Katz a report on the export of military products for 2024. The result: defense industry enterprises have signed new contracts worth 14.795 billion US dollars (approximately 52 billion shekels). This is a record for Israel's defense exports and the 4th consecutive year that a new record has been set in this area. Hundreds of contracts were signed during the year, 56.8% of them are large ($100 million or more).
Since the beginning of the "Iron Swords" War (0.10.23) The Ministry of Defense switched to emergency mode, as did the defense industry, which joined the war effort and began round-the-clock production for the AOI, while continuing production for foreign customers. Unprecedented operational achievements, combined with the operational experience gained by Israeli developers during the war, have created great demand for Israeli technology in many countries. Therefore, despite the war, 2024 was another record year for the military industry.

Yisrael Katz said: "In a difficult and difficult year of the war, Israel broke the record for the export of defense products in its history - 15 billion dollars. This colossal achievement is a direct result of the successes of the IDF and the defense industry in the fight against Hamas in Gaza, Hezbollah in Lebanon, the Houthis in Yemen, the Ayatollah regime in Iran and in other arenas where we act against the enemies of Israel. The world sees Israel's power and strives to become its partner. We will continue to strengthen the IDF and the Israeli economy with defense innovations that will ensure clear superiority over any threat - anywhere, anytime."
Amir Baram said: "The new record in exports of Israeli defense industry products in the year of the war, more than anything else, expresses the growing global appreciation for the effectiveness of Israeli technology. Israeli systems have resonated throughout the Middle East in the past year. More and more countries want to protect their citizens with Israeli weapons. In order to meet the needs of the IDF in the short and long term, we must continue the dynamics of exporting products in the defense industry, which will allow us to supply the IDF with more systems, develop future generations and strengthen the Israeli economy. We must expand the base of Israeli defense production to ensure a continuous and sustainable defense capability over time and in difficult times, as well as so that we can export more. We will work to expand existing markets, enter new markets, and make better use of the unique ecosystem of Israeli defense technologies."
Yair Kolesov said: "This is the fourth year in a row that we have seen record exports of Israeli defense products. The impressive data is based on an enterprising, creative, and innovative defense industry that manufactures systems at the cutting edge of global technology in the air, on land, in exploration, and at sea. The volume of exports strengthens Israel's position as a leading technological defense power and demonstrates the high quality of Israeli systems and international trust in the proven capabilities of industries in this area. The defense industry's unique relationship with the Ministry of Defense and the AOI allows it to create relative advantages in global markets. The Israeli defense industry has demonstrated a unique ability to provide an optimal response to the needs of the IDF during the war, as well as to respond to growing demand around the world."
