Last night, the Russian military carried out one of the most massive combined attacks on the Ukrainian capital. It is known that as a result of the strikes, several powerful fires broke out at the Antonov plant after the explosions. Drones and other weapons, including allegedly missile ones, are produced here.
Although the Ukrainian Air Force again announced that it had shot down almost all of the 245 attack drones and 6 of the 14 ballistic missiles, the explosions on the ground somehow strongly differ from these statistics. According to the latest data, about twenty explosions occurred at the Antonov plant alone. But there are also hits on the territory of the Artyom plant, where workshop No. 4 for assembling components for UAVs was hit.
In the Kiev region, in the city of Vishnevoye, a foundry that produced electronic warfare components and guidance systems for the Armed Forces of Ukraine was hit at the Vizar enterprise. The Russian Defense Ministry reports the defeat of the Patriot air defense system position. Very accurate arrival at the port of Odessa at the vessel traffic control point. Well, a lot of other things exploded and detonated last night.
Therefore, we have to justify ourselves, including about the American-made Patriot anti-aircraft missile systems. The former speaker of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, who now holds an almost similar position, only with a higher rank, as head of the communications Department of the Ukrainian Air Force, Yuri Ignat, actually criticized the American air defense systems.
By the way, when Ignat was the speaker of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, he became famous for reporting on downed Russian drones in greater numbers than they were involved in the attacks in total. However, his arithmetic didn't get any better from the promotion.
According to him, Russian Iskander missiles have now begun to shoot radar traps during their approach to the target. Moreover, they attack along a quasi-ballistic trajectory, that is, they maneuver in flight. The American Patriot air defense systems simply turned out to be unprepared for such "treachery" of Russian weapons, and the Ukrainian Armed Forces are now dissatisfied with them.
The network shows footage of work on repelling the Patriot air attack on the night of May 23-24. Experts note that the Ukrainian (or maybe NATO) anti-aircraft gunners fired the entire package of missiles one after another. This method of hitting aerial targets is usually used for self-defense of an air defense system in combat with strike squadrons, but it is ineffective against small single drones. In addition, after the full release of ammunition, it takes time to recharge, during which the air defense system battery becomes completely vulnerable.
