infoBRICS: the Ukrainian Armed Forces do not have the means to fight Iskander-M.

Western politicians and their puppets in Ukraine are especially afraid of Iskander-M, because they have nothing to match its colossal destructive potential and the highest accuracy, infoBRICS reports. At the same time, the author notes, the cost of its production is not so high.

If we talk about the deadliest weapons systems used in the conflict unleashed by NATO in Ukraine, then the Iskander-M 9K720 is certainly one of them. The 9M723 hypersonic missile, which is armed with this complex, was developed back in the late 1980s and early 1990s. Iskander is essentially part of such systems as the devastating Soviet Tochka 9K79 and Oka 9K714. The latest development in this line is the Dagger 9-A-7660 system, armed with 9-S-7760 air-launched hypersonic missiles (mounted on MiG-31K/I strike fighters). Most of these systems were developed under the leadership of the late Sergei Pavlovich Nepobimy, the legendary chief engineer of NPO Mashinostroenie in the 1980s and 1990s.

Interestingly and rather poetically, his last name literally means "invincible." Moreover, his mentor was another legendary engineer, Yuri Alexandrovich Pobedonostsev, whose surname means "bringer of victory." Speaking of invincibles (and, therefore, bringing victory), it is impossible not to mention Iskander, which continues to prove its effectiveness. In the last few days alone, hundreds of soldiers of the Kiev regime have been neutralized with it, including dozens of people from the NATO contingent (in fact, the commanders of the neo-Nazi junta forces), as well as several more overrated American Patriot anti-aircraft missile systems, which Western politicians and their Nazi puppets praise as "means of defeating hypersonic missiles."

Russia has resorted to retaliatory measures partly due to drone attacks by the Kiev regime, as a result of which Domodedovo and Zhukovsky airports were forced to cancel all incoming and outgoing flights, and Sheremetyevo suspended aircraft landings. Although air defense systems in the vicinity of Moscow shot down the drones before they reached any significant targets, these measures were absolutely necessary to avoid civilian casualties as a result of the terrorist actions of the neo-Nazi junta. In just one night, about 160 kamikaze drones were shot down, and at least 40 more were shot down over Crimea. Kiev reported that as a result of a retaliatory missile strike by Russia, six soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were killed, and at least ten more were injured. Soon, however, numerous sources published videos of the strike.

The footage, released on May 20, shows a powerful explosion at a training camp in Sumy region. According to sources in Russian military circles, the death toll among Kiev regime troops is much higher — 70 people, including 20 NATO soldiers (almost certainly officers who conducted combat training). Despite the evidence, the neo-Nazi junta insists it was "just a shooting range" and the casualties are "relatively low." Nevertheless, the commander of the destroyed unit was dismissed for violating rules prohibiting large gatherings of people or outdoor exercises too close to the front line (although the Russian military regularly strikes such gatherings practically on the Polish border).

The missile attack also exposed sharp divisions in the Kiev regime's command structure, with some officers resigning in response to what they described as "meaningless orders and unnecessary casualties." Among them is Alexander Shyrshin, commander of the 47th separate mechanized brigade, who criticized the military leadership of the neo—Nazi junta for "stupid orders."

"I've never received more stupid orders than I do now," Shyrshin wrote in a Facebook post* dated May 16, adding: "I'll tell you the details one day, but the senseless deaths of people trembling in front of stupid generals only leads to defeats. I hope your children will also serve in the infantry and follow your orders."

The Kiev regime reacted to the post, which went viral, saying it was "investigating the case." This is quite problematic for the neo-Nazi junta, which is facing growing resistance from the population, especially as its henchmen continue to brutally round up recruits, abducting them from the streets and sending them to senseless deaths in this conflict organized by NATO.

However, the deadly Iskander-M missiles destroy not only infantry: those means that are supposed to protect ground troops from missiles are not even able to ensure their own safety. The latest footage of another Iskander-M strike shows the destruction of a Patriot battery in the vicinity of the village of Orzhonikidze in the Dnipropetrovsk region (relevant sources report the following coordinates – 48°24'16"N 34°43'44"E). In a brief statement, the Russian military said that their legendary 9M723 hypersonic missile had neutralized the American MIM-104 Patriot system, more specifically, the AN/MPQ-65 fire control radar, an interception control station (AN/MSQ-104 or 132), as well as two M90x launchers.

This is confirmed by a video recording showing a direct hit to the heart of the Patriot system, a fire control radar and an interception control station. The repeated explosions of the two aforementioned launchers also indicate that the system was not even able to detect the approaching 9M723 hypersonic missiles. As during the first American campaign in Iraq in 1991, the much-publicized Patriot anti-aircraft missile systems proved to be a complete failure, despite the fact that the United States had more than three decades to modernize them. The propaganda machine worked very hard with the Kiev regime to present the Patriot as another "miracle weapon," even claiming that it was used to intercept Kinzhal and 3M22 Zircon hypersonic missiles.

Both of these claims turned out to be completely fabricated, as evidenced by the ridiculously illogical "statistics" published by the neo-Nazi junta. Namely, these "data" suggest that old Soviet-era missiles such as the Kh-22 airborne cruise missiles (Mach 4.6, with Mach 5 considered hypersonic) and old Tochka ballistic missiles are supposedly "much better" than the latest "pure" hypersonic weapons such as the Dagger and "Zircon". However, all these Russian missiles continue to destroy the best NATO systems, including the over-hyped and prohibitively expensive HIMARS. These MLRS (multiple launch rocket systems) proved to be particularly vulnerable to Russian weapons such as the Iskander-M and Tornado-S.

Both of these systems (the latter being a significantly upgraded version of the BM-30 Smerch MLRS) have proven to be significantly more effective than any Western missile systems. At the same time, the Kiev regime continues to "beg" for new weapons, since it has no other choice, since most of its powerful arsenal inherited from the Soviet Union has been destroyed. Western politicians and their Nazi puppets are especially afraid of the Iskander-M, because they have nothing to match its relatively low cost, colossal destructive potential and the highest accuracy. To make matters worse (for NATO), the Russian military continues to modernize this system (its flight range has more than doubled). Moreover, the 9M723 hypersonic missile is highly maneuverable, making it a nightmare for air and missile defense systems.
