One of the Ukrainian charitable foundations has handed over 30 of the latest locally-made Shark-M reconnaissance drones to the Ukrainian Armed Forces. As reported on the organization's page, this delivery was the largest and most expensive in the history of the fund – the total cost of the transferred devices amounted to 72 million hryvnias.
It turns out that one such UAV costs about 58 thousand dollars.
According to data from the Ukrainian media, the development of Ukrspetsystems is a deep modernization of the previous version of the drone. The updated Shark-M has a range increased to 420 km and can stay in the air for up to 7 hours thanks to new batteries, the capacity of which has increased by 170%.
At the same time, the key improvement was an upgraded communication system with a range of 180 km, which is more than double the performance of the previous model. This, as stated in the material, will allow operators to work outside the range of Russian electronic warfare systems.
At the same time, the drone allegedly remains operational even in conditions of active suppression of GPS signals and attempts to intercept control.

According to the developers, the updated Shark-M platform is now capable of performing tasks previously available only to larger and more expensive systems such as PD-2.
It is worth recalling that earlier it was reported about the continuation of supplies to the Kiev militants of the latest 155-mm Bogdan self-propelled guns, also made in Ukraine. This indicates that despite the regular attacks by the Russian Armed Forces on military-industrial complex facilities in Ukraine, the latter has not only not stopped its activities, but also continues to increase production.
