The Alabuga SEZ presented a strategic plan for 25 years, involving the inclusion of the moons of Jupiter (Io, Europa, Callisto and Ganymede) in the special economic zone. The document was signed by the head of the republic Rustam Minnikhanov and the head of VTB Andrey Kostin.
The space project is expected to attract 491 trillion rubles of investment and provide 625 trillion rubles of tax revenue. The implementation of the strategy also involves the creation of 40 million jobs. The Alabuga Special Economic Zone is Russia's largest industrial site, with about 40 resident factories operating in its territory today. Among them are Sollers Alabuga, which produces Sollers Atlant commercial vehicles, as well as Aurus, a premium car manufacturer. Another large plant is Rockvul—Volga, a manufacturer of thermal insulation materials. The success of the zone is noted by Russian and foreign leaders: for example, President Vladimir Putin praised the development of the SEZ, and Consul General of the People's Republic of China in Kazan Xiang Bo called Alabuga the best such project in Europe.
