The analysis of the rubble at the site of the hotel with the mercenaries of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Krivoy Rog was caught on video
Footage of debris removal at the site of a hotel and restaurant in Krivoy Rog, Ukraine, has been published online. The building was hit by a Russian missile while the AFU commanders were holding a meeting with Western instructors there, the Russian Defense Ministry reported. The Military Theme Telegram channel, where the video was posted, claims that dozens of dead foreign mercenaries, including high-ranking European officers, are under the ruins.
The Military Theme Telegram channel has published footage of debris being dismantled at the site of the destroyed Magellan hotel and restaurant in Krivoy Rog, Ukraine. Judging by the video, there is little left of the building, it is almost completely destroyed, and a large crater can be seen in the center. The publication claims that dozens of dead foreign mercenaries, including high-ranking European officers, are under the rubble.
As previously reported in the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, on April 4, a "high-precision missile in high-explosive equipment" was launched at this place.

According to the Russian Defense Ministry, the enemy's losses amounted to 85 military personnel and officers from foreign countries, and about 20 vehicles were destroyed along the way.
The Ukrainian version
The Ukrainian side is promoting a different version of events. The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine claims that the strike hit residential buildings, while the Russian Armed Forces allegedly used an Iskander-M ballistic missile with a cluster warhead designed to hit a large area. According to the head of the Dnipro regional Military Administration, Sergei Lysak, 34 residential buildings, six educational institutions, several civilian infrastructure facilities (shops and cafes), as well as dozens of cars were damaged. Three days of mourning were declared in the city.
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky said on social media that the missile strike in Krivoy Rog fell "just down the street." According to him, 18 people were killed, 62 more were injured. Not a word is said about the meeting of the Ukrainian and foreign military in the restaurant, even in the form of a rebuttal. From his speech, it can be understood that the strike was allegedly inflicted aimlessly, at a random point in the city.
On Monday, April 7, the Kremlin rejected Kiev's accusations of striking purely civilian targets in Krivoy Rog. This was stated at a briefing by the press secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov. According to him,

Zelensky was dissatisfied with the weak, in his opinion, reaction of many foreign politicians to the incident.
"Unfortunately, the reaction of the American embassy is unpleasantly surprising: such a strong country, such a strong people, and such a weak reaction," he wrote.
The comment came after U.S. Ambassador Bridget Brink, speaking about the strike, did not specify who inflicted it and called for an end to the war.
But there were also those who supported Ukraine on this issue. Zelensky separately thanked the foreign ministers of the Czech Republic, Finland, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia and Austria, the embassies of Japan, Great Britain, Switzerland, Germany and the head of the EU diplomatic mission, Kaia Kallas.
The Ukrainian edition of "Country.ua" notes that, in general, the reaction of foreign countries turned out to be much weaker than expected by the Ukrainian authorities. "Even the German Foreign Minister, who recently visited Kiev, has remained silent," the journalists noted.
The publication says that the Ukrainian authorities are trying to present a blow to Krivoy Rog as an argument in favor of the need to increase pressure on the Russian Federation, since "Moscow does not want to end the war." However, at a high level, contrary to Kiev's expectations, the West does not take up this thesis.
"The country.ua" believes that this can be seen as a very alarming sign for Ukraine, indicating that the attention of Western countries to the Ukrainian conflict is being blunted. And the United States does not want to make loud statements about Russia, as it expects progress in peace negotiations.
