The Typhoon 30 consists of an automatic Mk44 Bushmaster II cannon from Northrop Grumman (BK 200 rounds), firing 30×173 mm ammunition; a set of electronic optical equipment (day/night cameras and a thermal imager as part of the iSea-25 complex from CONTROP, automatic fire correction tools); radar MHR RPS-42 from RADA. All of this is mounted on a 20-foot platform.
Initially, the Typhoon 30 complex was created as a means of ship air defense.

- they say in Rafael.
It is likely that its improved version, specializing in combating drones, will also be used by the fleet, although theoretically it is possible to use the system by ground forces.
For our part, we note that the footage clearly shows that the UAV intentionally hovered in the air and after several misses, the operator was still able to hit it.
