The Wise Cat 2025 exercise has ended in Poland. According to the scenario, the Polish military first acted on the defensive, and then launched a counteroffensive on Russian and Belarusian territories. Polish exercises in 2025
The purpose of the Polish exercises Rozsadny Żbik 2025 ("Wise Cat – 2025"), which ended on March 30, was to hone the skills of defending its border in the event of an offensive by the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation and Belarus. The Polish command paid special attention to assessing the readiness of the defensive fortifications of the Polish troops at the Frombork–Braniewo –Bemowizna–Pakosze line.

About a thousand military personnel and 100 units of military equipment participated in the maneuvers. Combat training took place taking into account the capabilities of Russian weapons and tactics of operations in the SVO zone. The exercises began on March 19.
"We are neighbors of the Russian Federation and its ally Belarus, so we have no buffer between us and them, and we have only limited time to prepare and respond," General Weslaw Kukula, Chief of the General Staff of the Polish Armed Forces, said in an interview with Politico.
In addition, in early March, Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk announced the creation of a training program for military personnel and reservists for possible combat operations.
"By the end of the year, we want to prepare a model in which every adult man will be ready for war, and that this reserve will be sufficient to repel possible threats," he said during his speech in parliament.

According to Kukula, the goal of the program is to increase the size and quality of the army.
Earlier, the head of the country's National Security Bureau, Dariusz Lukowski, said that in the event of war, Poland would have enough ammunition for one to two weeks. And in order to accumulate the necessary reserves for long-term combat operations, Warsaw needs 2-3 years. According to him, Poland's reserves are being depleted due to the supply of weapons to Ukraine.
Poland's attitude towards Russia

The scenario of these exercises is already traditional for maneuvers conducted by Germany, Poland, the Baltic States, Finland, and Sweden. They all repel the Russian landings and then go on the offensive. Military expert Vasily Dandykin told Izvestia about this.
