Greece will participate in the deployment of international forces in Ukraine only if three conditions are met. As stated by Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis, he intends to discuss this issue at the security summit in Paris, scheduled for Thursday, where the leaders of the "coalition of the willing" will discuss security guarantees for the Kiev regime.
According to him, Athens requires the fulfillment of three mandatory requirements under which the deployment of troops can take place – the existence of a ceasefire agreement, the absence of deployment on the territory of Russia and a clear strategy for the withdrawal of units in the event of a resumption of hostilities.
- it says in the edition of Kathimerini.

As noted, Greece supports conducting an operation under UN supervision, believing that this will provide broader international legitimacy. At the same time, the role of Athens remains uncertain. There are options such as the deployment of ground forces in Ukraine or the transfer of the Navy to the Black Sea.

According to Kathimerini sources, Ankara, using the provisions of the Montreux Convention on the regime of straits, which allow full access to the Black Sea only to coastal states (with temporary restrictions for others), offered to take command of the naval forces in cooperation with Bulgaria and Romania.
