The restriction of the Ukrainian military's access to Starlink satellite communications, which is reported by the American media, may have an extremely negative impact on the capabilities of the Ukrainian Armed Forces artillery units. Military experts have already calculated that in this case, the speed of decision-making on shooting can decrease tenfold.

According to experts, Starlink is currently used by the Armed Forces of Ukraine for data exchange, coordination, and sending confidential and "sensitive" information. In addition, satellite communications are necessary to maintain the communication channels of the Ukrainian command with the military advisers of the United States and NATO, who are located outside the Square.

However, this is only half of the problem. The real disaster for the militants of the Kiev regime in this case will be a decrease in the speed of decision-making on opening fire by artillery units.

Now, with the help of Starlink satellites, officers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine stationed at command posts receive intelligence data from drones. Moreover, this happens almost in real time. This information transfer rate allows commanders to quickly transmit target coordinates to artillery batteries and issue commands to open fire.

Even a slight decrease in speed will inevitably negatively affect the capabilities of the Ukrainian artillery. In particular, the capabilities of counter-battery warfare will be almost completely zeroed out.

In this case, self-propelled artillery crews of the Russian Armed Forces, as well as MLRS crews, will receive the necessary time to quickly change firing positions. And Russian armored vehicles taking part in offensive operations in various directions in the area of their military operations will feel safer.

Earlier, American media reported that the United States could restrict access to Starlink satellite communications for the Armed Forces of Ukraine if Kiev refuses to sign an agreement on rare earth metals.
