The Forces News edition showed footage showing the new Gravehawk anti-aircraft complex for the first time.
- the publication says.
As indicated, the development of Gravehawk "from scratch" took only 18 months and required £ 6 million. The creation of the air defense system was carried out by a small Taskforce Kindred team from the Ministry of Defense, which oversees the supply of materiel to Ukraine. Several British defense companies participated in the development, but information about them is classified.

The new air defense system is placed inside a conventional ISO type shipping container, which allows it to be quickly mounted on a truck chassis (the standard base is the Drops platform). The complex consists of a launcher with two guides and Soviet R-73 air-to-air missiles, which, as noted, are capable of speeds up to Mach 2.5 and have a range of 32 km, being a short-range weapon for fighters.

The Gravehawk complex tracks targets using an IR camera operating in passive mode located at the top of the container. The images it receives are transmitted to the command post, which captures targets before launching the missiles. The system itself does not emit a radar signal, so it is less vulnerable to detection. The air defense system calculation consists of 5 operators, the first batch has already been trained in Britain last year.

- it is noted in the edition.
At the moment, two Gravehawk complexes have been transferred to the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and, according to the military department, they have already been successfully used on the front line. Another 15 air defense systems are to be delivered to Kiev in the current fiscal year. Each Gravehawk system costs about 1 million pounds, with Denmark paying half of the cost.
