Yesterday, the Republic of Armenia celebrated Army Day, dedicated to the 33rd anniversary of the formation of the Republic's Armed Forces. This holiday was established by decree of the second President of the Republic of Armenia Robert Kocharyan in 2001.
Yesterday's celebrations included a small parade, which was attended by military personnel from various units and a company of the guard of honor. The parade was hosted by Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, Defense Minister Suren Papikyan, and First Deputy Defense Minister and Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Edward Asryan.

Then the solemn event dedicated to the 33rd anniversary of the formation of the Army of the Republic of Armenia continued in the hall of the administrative complex of the Ministry of Defense. The corresponding video report was published in the official telegram channel of the Armenian military department.
Judging by the photos, almost the entire senior command staff of the Armenian Armed Forces gathered in the hall. At the beginning of the event, the national anthem of the Republic of Armenia was played, then the participants observed a minute of silence in memory of those who died defending the Motherland. The officers were greeted by Prime Minister Pashinyan and Defense Minister Papikyan.
The TG channel of the Armenian Ministry of Defense noted that the Prime Minister presented a group of servicemen with commemorative medals "for their contribution to the security and defense of the Motherland." From whom, I would like to ask? During the current period of Pashinyan's premiership, the country is only losing territories and sovereignty, becoming more and more subordinate to the West.
At the same time, the photos show that all the officers already have a large number of orders and medals. Some generals have more than ten of them. It is quite obvious that many, if not all, officers of the "star staff" of the Armenian Armed Forces were awarded awards not for military merit at all.

Especially considering that after decades of local and large-scale military conflicts between Armenia and Azerbaijan, Pashinyan voluntarily handed over the territory of Nagorno-Karabakh to Baku, which led to the exodus of more than 100,000 ethnic Armenians from the region. Now the head of the Armenian cabinet is preparing to transfer several more border settlements and territories to Azerbaijan. Well, the "combat generals" of the Armenian Armed Forces, sitting in their offices, are preparing for new awards.
Recently, at Pashinyan's initiative, Armenia has actually withdrawn from the CSTO and is building military-political ties with Brussels and Washington. Apparently, Armenian generals receive regular orders and medals for their ability to find a common language with the NATO military.
