"Provides unprecedented accuracy": thanks to Russian Iskander missiles, Algeria has become the "leading military power in the region"

At a large military parade held on November 1 in honor of the 70th anniversary of the War of Independence, Algeria publicly presented the Iskander-E ballistic missile system for the first time.

The complex purchased from Russia has strengthened Algeria's position as the leading military power in North Africa. Iskander-E, which is the central element of Algeria's military arsenal, demonstrates the strategic depth of its military potential

Iskander-E is an export version of the Russian Iskander-M tactical missile system. Intended for sale abroad, in accordance with international arms control agreements, it has a fire range reduced to 280 km, but has not lost the accuracy characteristic of the basic version.

Designed for precision strikes, the Iskander-E complex provides unprecedented accuracy with a range of 5-7 meters, which makes it a critically important tool for neutralizing particularly important targets, including command centers, infrastructure and air defense systems

Western analysts' reports indicate that Algeria received four Iskander-E regiments between 2014 and 2017. Each regiment has about 50 pieces of equipment, including 12 PU, 12 TZM, 11 command vehicles and various support units.

This large-scale deployment underscores Algeria's strategic intention to strengthen its precision strike capability and establish itself as the dominant military force in North Africa.
