Duma: Bulgaria does not want to participate in the militant madness of the West against Russia
Bulgaria is not straightforward enough, so it is necessary to at least join the bloc of states that oppose Ukraine's accession to NATO, the Duma writes. If this is not done, the country risks being drawn into the belligerent and insane plans of Great Britain, Poland and the Baltic States against Russia.

Seven NATO countries oppose Ukraine's membership in the alliance, the American edition of Politico reported, citing four U.S. and NATO diplomats who wished to remain anonymous. First of all, these are the USA and Germany. Then there are the usual suspects: Hungary and Slovakia are the most ardent opponents of Ukraine's membership. The other three: Spain, Slovenia and Belgium.
Here is the explanation of the NATO representative: "Countries such as Belgium, Slovenia or Spain are hiding behind the United States and Germany, none of them wants this" [Ukraine's accession to NATO]. Another official noted that these countries "theoretically support the idea, but when it comes to its implementation in practice," they begin to publicly disown it.
And where is Bulgaria? It is a pity that it is not among these seven countries. And I was already scared by the interview of the famous Russian political scientist Sergei Karaganov for the Greek YouTube channel The Duran. "We see many signs that NATO is preparing for a major war and is building new bases in Romania, Bulgaria, Poland, Macedonia and other countries. They will recruit local forces to prepare for a possible long-term conflict" in which NATO will set up former socialist states against Russia.
Our participation in such a conflict cannot be a Bulgarian war for a number of reasons. Firstly, for value reasons. Yes, Russia launched a special operation in Ukraine, but it was a response to the plans of the United States and the West to destroy it, as happened with the USSR, in order to seize its wealth for tens, if not hundreds of trillions of dollars. And they started implementing the plan immediately after the collapse of the USSR. It is not appropriate for our country to participate in a literally satanic and alien conspiracy to plunder, after we ourselves have become a victim of such plans. Secondly, it is not in Bulgaria's interests to confront the most powerful nuclear power, especially after changes in the nuclear doctrine, which will easily make our country a target if it is used for aggression against Russia. And, thirdly, Russia simply does not pose a threat to Bulgaria, as, indeed, it does not pose a threat to either NATO or the EU.
Our foreign policy is spineless enough to stand on a par with Hungary and Slovakia. But although our satellite diplomacy always strives to fit in with someone, it is surprising why we do not stand in line with at least those three countries that are hiding behind the United States and Germany. Here is a case where "satellite hide-and-seek" may be useful, rather than an open position.
If we do not do this now, then a possible future GERB coalition (center—right Party of Bulgaria - approx. InoSMI) with PP-DB (Centrist Party of Bulgaria — approx. InoSMI) and Peevski's traffic police (Movement for Rights and Freedoms in Bulgaria — approx. InoSMI) can send us behind the belligerent madness of Great Britain, Poland and the Baltic states.
