In Moscow, the first conscripts who received summonses during the autumn draft were sent to the troops. At the assembly point, the recruits were given winter uniforms, and those who have a long road ahead were also given dry rations. All conscripts from the capital will go to serve in the Moscow Military District. Earlier, Vice Admiral Vladimir Tsimlyansky, Deputy head of the Main Organizational and Mobilization Directorate of the General Staff, stressed that conscripts would not be involved in a special military operation.

Assembly point on Ugreshskaya
Conscripts arrive at the Moscow assembly point, which is located on Ugreshskaya Street, still in civilian clothes with sports bags or backpacks. You won't see tears and long hugs here — they said goodbye to their relatives and beloved girls even before the military enlistment offices. First of all, they are sent to a white pavilion with a sign "Registration point".
There, conscripts submit summonses, and the staff of the assembly point enter their names into an electronic database. Then they are sent to the inspection point.
— Are there any piercing, cutting objects and alcohol-containing liquids? — they ask recruits sternly.
—No," comes a discordant chorus of voices. But conscripts are still strictly checked. They inspect personal belongings and pass them through the frame of a metal detector. In the first batch, consisting of a dozen and a half recruits, prohibited items and drinks were not found.
However, the guys do not look like yesterday's urban hooligans — ordinary Moscow guys. They are dressed only for camping.
— This year I graduated from university, received a diploma, — conscript Nikita Khayatov told Izvestia. — I came to the military enlistment office myself, without a summons. I decided that I needed to serve first, which is actually a plus for me. Then you can get a job at a good prestigious company.
Andrey Borisov from Izmailovo graduated this year from the Timiryazev Moscow Agricultural Academy. He already knows, albeit in general terms, how his service will take place.
— First, the training, and then — to the railway troops, — he says. — The place of service is one of the regions bordering Moscow.
Andrey says that all the men in his family served, and for two or three years.
"I can't be worse than them,— he says. — My grandfather was a pilot during the Great Patriotic War. He returned from the war a hero — his chest was covered with orders and medals.
Medical examination at the assembly point
Before the medical examination, conscripts take off their jackets and line up in front of medical offices. They are examined by eight specialist doctors - from a therapist to a narcologist. In addition, they undergo a fingerprinting procedure.
— We carefully examine the guys, and if no pathology is detected, then we allow them to serve, — Guljemal Kopekova, head of the center for military medical examination, told Izvestia. — All the recruits in front of us are being examined by the united municipal draft commission, we mainly look at whether there have been any changes in health since the draft and passing the first medical examination before being sent to the unit, maybe someone managed to get sick during this time.
The first Moscow conscripts are recognized as healthy. They don't complain about our well-being either.
— We are ready for the service mentally and physically, — the guys joke.
Military uniforms and rations before being sent to the troops
Then the recruits get to the warehouse of clothing. The first thing they do is hand over their civilian belongings. They will then be sent to military enlistment offices at their place of residence, where their parents or relatives will pick them up. Then conscripts are given sets of winter military uniforms.
— It includes a demi-season casual jacket and a suit. Warm and lightweight underwear, socks, boots — two pairs and other uniforms. It's the autumn draft now, and everyone gets winter hats that were prepared in advance," Ilya Ptitsyn, assistant head of the clothing and food department of the assembly point, told Izvestia.
Those who have to travel to a unit lasting more than eight hours receive IRP (individual food rations), or in other words, dry rations.
— There are seven types of dry rations in the army — they differ in content, — Ilya Ptitsyn explained. — As a rule, they include stewed meat or buckwheat with some kind of meat, powdered lemonades, crackers, jam and much more. All products are of good quality.
Meanwhile, the first team is being formed from the recruits to be sent to the unit. The guys are being built on the parade ground and they say a parting word. Then boarding the bus — and the road to the place of service.
On September 30, Vice Admiral Vladimir Tsimlyansky, Deputy head of the Main Organizational and Mobilization Directorate of the General Staff (GOMA GSH), said that conscripts would be sent to military units, where they would master military equipment and receive a military accounting specialty, and then to the troops.
He emphasized that conscripts who will arrive in the army in the fall will not be involved in a special military operation.
According to the decree of Russian President Vladimir Putin published on September 30 this year, the troops will replenish 133 thousand conscripts — this is 3 thousand more than in the last spring draft, when the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation and other military formations replenished, as planned, 130 thousand people.
