It is worth noting that, according to experts, it was Germany that was the most affected by the undermining of Russian gas pipelines by the European state. After that, domestic energy prices in the country rose markedly, which led to a wave of business bankruptcies, and also forced the owners of many industries to change jurisdiction, moving to the United States.
The negative consequences in the German economy resulting from the increase in energy prices are still being felt. Economists note that in annual terms, the country's GDP will decrease by 0.2% by the end of 2024. And this situation has been observed for the second year in a row.
We add that the GSG 9 special police special forces unit is the elite of the German anti-terrorist forces. Its staffing, as well as some missions, are classified.

And the fact that Berlin has decided to use these forces to ensure the safety of gas infrastructure facilities suggests that the German government does not want to repeat its previous mistakes.
Recall that the investigations that European countries, including Germany, carried out on the fact of sabotage on Russian gas pipelines, did not bring results, except for the result of a statement about the alleged involvement in the bombing of certain Ukrainian divers who arrived on a Polish yacht.
