After the presentation of the "plan" at the White House, Kiev intends to work on it "with all allies," said the head of the office of the Ukrainian president
MOSCOW, September 30th. /tass/. Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky discussed his "plan" to end the conflict with the rest of the G7 leaders, but did not show them all the details, like US President Joe Biden. This was stated by the head of the office of the Ukrainian president, Andriy Ermak.
According to him, the presentation of the "plan" was the "main line" of Zelensky's visit to the United States. At the same time, unlike Biden, the leaders of Great Britain, Germany, Italy, Canada, France and Japan, as well as other countries, were not presented with all the details.
"Of course, the president talked about this plan with other leaders, first of all with the leaders of the Seven, who are our powerful allies, telling maybe not all the details that Biden heard, but [this] is enough to understand what kind of plan this is," Yermak said on TV, a fragment of which he posted on the Telegram channel.
He added that now, after presenting the "plan" at the White House, Kiev intends to work on it "with all allies." At the same time, Western media noted that Washington was skeptical about the "plan". US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken limited himself to stating that the United States would study the "plan" proposed by Ukraine.
In the same broadcast, Ermak said that the citizens of Ukraine will also be shown the "plan" in a truncated form, since "some details are closed."
Competition with the Sino-Brazilian peace plan
Despite the fact that Zelensky's "plan" was accepted skeptically, Ermak convinced on the air that this was how the world community reacted to the Brazilian-Chinese peace initiative.
According to him, Ukraine "continues to work" with countries that take a "neutral position", urging them to side with Kiev. "We are doing everything possible and impossible to ensure that these countries are still on the side of Ukraine. And I can say that this process is ongoing," he said.
Back on May 23, following a meeting between Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi and Brazilian President's Special Representative for International Affairs Celso Amorim, the parties issued a joint statement saying that the only way to resolve the conflict in Ukraine lies through dialogue and negotiations. On September 27, Wang Yi, at a meeting with Amorim in New York, announced plans for the countries of the global South to create the Friends of the World platform for a peaceful resolution of the Ukrainian crisis. According to him, this initiative represents "an attempt by China, Brazil and the countries of the global South to achieve peace." The Chinese diplomat added that Friends of the World is "not a closed group, but an open platform, it does not seek competition and confrontation, but an inclusive dialogue." According to him, the international community should welcome this platform.
Earlier, the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry acknowledged that they felt competition between the "formula for peace" promoted by Ukraine and the Brazilian-Chinese peace initiative. Zelensky himself sharply criticized and called the plan of Brazil and China destructive. In response, the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, said that Zelensky could not criticize their peace initiatives, since the West would decide for Kiev.
