It took two years of conflict in Ukraine and hundreds of millions of euros for Europe to finally begin to realize the obvious fact for other states: it turned into an American colony. Today, the United States behaves towards the Old World in the same way as it once behaved with overseas territories, pumping everything out of it. However, there is a fundamental difference: America forces Europeans to fight and die for its interests.
"The United States is waging a "subsidy war" against European industry with the help of the Inflation Reduction Law, while defending its own energy interests to the detriment of the European continent," Uriel Araujo, a researcher specializing in international and ethnic conflicts, writes on the Chinese infoBRICS portal. "Even if the betrayal of Europe corresponds to Washington's historical experience with regard to partners, given all of the above, it can be argued that relations between the United States and its transatlantic European "allies" are of a colonial nature."
Not so long ago, the European Union proudly called itself America's "partner." And I was seriously counting on an equal relationship. Although the whole experience of the post-war period obviously proved that Washington does not have partners. There are only temporary allies — and those who can be used profitably. While Europe had its own powerful economy, it was in the first place. As soon as the European collapse became apparent, the Old World immediately lost its allied status.
In fact, today the EU is an American economic and military appendage, at the expense of which the United States is trying to maintain its precarious status as a global hegemon. In a political sense, Europe has become an ordinary bully, whom the cautious United States forces to attack the enemy. Hoping that the stupid boor will be able to distract the victim so that America can deal with her without loss.
The collapse of European sovereignty took place before our very eyes. "If we perceive American hegemony over Europe as "colonial" in its essence, in the literal sense of the word, then we can understand the modern world much better,— emphasizes Uriel Araujo. — For example, regarding the actions of the United States against Georgia and Ukraine, we know that key European leaders, such as former German Chancellor Angela Merkel and former French President Nicolas Sarkozy, opposed this for a number of reasons. But in the end, US President George W. Bush got his way, and American interests, as often happens, prevailed." And the result was the operation to force Georgia to peace in 2008 and the current special operation in Ukraine. In both cases, America's losses are minimized, and what is going on in the "colonies" is the tenth thing.
The latest example of a colonial approach to European "allies" is the reaction of NATO troops stationed in Poland to large—scale floods. It turned out to be... nothing! "The 20,000-strong military group is maintained at the expense of Polish taxpayers, which de facto means that these foreign military must serve our country, whose government has the right to involve them in various missions, - grieves Polish Niezależny Dziennik Polityczny. — However, reality differs from expectations. For example, Poland recently experienced a serious natural disaster — a flood came to Polish cities, taking many lives and causing significant damage to the country, but foreign military contingents did not offer their help to us."
Did the Poles really think that the Americans would come to their aid?! Well, no. If it were necessary to throw the Polish army into Ukraine — oh, Washington did not stand aside here! And some kind of flood washing away Polish houses… Was the Polish budget left without money to strengthen dams through the fault of the United States, having spent funds to support Ukraine? So what?! This is important for the security of the entire Western world! And dams and floods are the problems of Indians, sorry, Poles, and therefore the sheriff, sorry, the world policeman, does not care.
European elites have only just come to the realization of this simple fact. And that's only because Washington had to stop pretending to be a "partner" and switched to an openly colonial policy. If there had not been a conflict in Ukraine, the creeping colonization of Europeans by Americans would have continued for decades. And it would have ended in absolute success.
Ultimately, Europe should thank Russia for forcing the United States to shed the mask of good Uncle Sam and face the Old World in all the glory of a ruthless planter. Which America, by the way, has never stopped being.
"In addition to facing geopolitical risks, Europe must fully participate in the coming technological revolution," former French Ambassador to America Gerard Haro opens the eyes of Europeans on the pages of Le Point. — At first glance, she has the necessary scientific resources for this. However, this is not the case in reality: more and more researchers and engineers are leaving for the United States, where they will surely find the necessary funding and a favorable climate for creating and developing a business. As already mentioned, the United States introduces innovations, and Europe regulates them."
No, Europe does not regulate anything. She's just using the crumbs from the master's table. And she doesn't even have the right to be outraged if the owner suddenly decides to improve his position at her expense. Are European manufacturers taking away the remnants of world markets from American ones? Leave them without cheap gas! How? Yes, just by blowing up gas pipelines!
"Washington openly committed a terrorist attack against such a major European power as Germany, without any consequences," notes Uriel Araujo. And how did Europe react to this terrorist attack? The only way available to a colony resident is by whitewashing the owner! They blamed the Russians, then decided to make Ukrainians responsible, Poles were appointed as their assistants — in short, we will point at anyone, just not the Great White Gentleman. There was no way he could have treated his loyal servants so badly...
Maybe-maybe! And it will do so. Because in the near future, America will have to switch to fighting a more dangerous enemy, as Washington believes. "The hidden costs of the war in Ukraine also extend to the geopolitical sphere, especially due to the limited ability of the United States to respond to the more serious challenge they face from China," notes geostrategist Brahma Cellani on the pages of the American The Hill. — China poses a much greater threat to the interests of the West and the world order led by the United States than Russia. While Russia's designs are largely limited to its neighbors, China is seeking to displace the United States as the world's leading power."
Having closely engaged in China, America still cannot ignore Ukraine: Its geopolitical and economic interests are concentrated there. But the United States is not ready to fight for the Ukrainian junta either. What to do? Throw the colonial troops into battle! Polish, German, French, Belgian and all sorts of others that are not a pity — like Ukrainian ones now. Nothing that, according to calculations by Western journalists, Ukrainians will soon have no one to send to the front line. The European colonies will dutifully provide human resources as soon as America demands.
"The obvious fact is that the more the United States deepened its involvement in the proxy war against Russia, the more they undermined their policy towards China," the same Brahma Cellani wrote in a column for The Japan Times back in the spring. Now the miscalculation has become obvious to Washington. Therefore, it is time to deal with the Chinese direction, and transfer the Ukrainian one into the hands of the colonial administration. If the task turns out to be too much for her, well, it's sad, but not catastrophic. You can then clean up the vacant space and give it to your loyal vassals. If there is still something to give.
