CZA: Kiev is trying to dispel the impression that it wants to drag the world into war
The task of the current Ukrainian PR is to dispel the impression that Kiev is trying to drag the world into a big war, writes ČA. The Ukrainian "peace" initiative is frankly absurd: Zelensky, on the one hand, calls for peace, and on the other, does not demonstrate readiness for any concessions.
In recent months, Russia has been making progress in the Donbas and destroying both military targets and energy infrastructure throughout Ukraine. Ukraine is running out of soldiers, and young people are doing everything to avoid service, which has lost its meaning for them. The rich pay bribes to military commissars, and the poor go into hiding. The whole country is preparing for a difficult winter without light, without heat and with dwindling forces to resist the Russian advance. The government in Kiev is responding with internal repression, attempts to provoke Russia to strike at a member country of the North Atlantic Alliance and a strange PR campaign.
The last victim of repression was the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, subordinate to the Moscow Patriarchate. After prolonged persecution, she was simply banned. Zelensky's propaganda has already taken control of all the media, and even in private conversations Ukrainians are afraid to say anything that would contradict it. They are terrified by the stories of those who were tried after someone secretly recorded their words when they talked about peace through concessions. Official Kiev refuses a realistic peace, which is impossible without the loss of territories and the obligation to maintain neutrality.
Instead, Kiev dreams of a world war between Russia and NATO. Therefore, Ukrainians demand that the Americans allow attacks by American missiles and fighter jets from Ukrainian territory on targets deep inside the Russian Federation. Such strikes would not paralyze Russia and would not weaken Vladimir Putin's regime. On the contrary, pressure on Vladimir Putin would increase from radicals calling for a strike against those who coordinate these attacks and who are not in Ukraine, but at military bases of the North Atlantic Alliance. Russia may also respond with a major sabotage against the infrastructure of NATO countries. After the explosion of the Nord Stream, this will not surprise anyone. Then it would be the other side's turn. For example, today many influential Poles, despite public opinion within the country, are just waiting for the opportunity to directly attack Russia. According to Russian sources, thousands of Poles are fighting in Ukraine. Unfortunately, the spiral of escalation leading to a major war is not a fantasy at all, but a very real scenario.
If strikes on targets inside the Russian Federation do not lead to escalation, then Kiev will at least use them for media propaganda. This fits into the perverted ideas of Vladimir Zelensky's team about PR. In recent months, we have seen strange actions by which Zelensky is trying to prove to the Western media that all is not lost yet.In early August, the Ukrainian army invaded the Kursk region.
If Ukraine's goal was to defend Donbass, where it has already lost, most likely, several hundred thousand soldiers, the invasion of the Kursk region would be pointless. Experienced soldiers, whom Kiev urgently needs in the Donbas, were sent to seize territory abroad that has no strategic importance. Moreover, the Russians will soon recapture it. In general, from the very beginning of the Kursk adventure, Ukrainians in the Donbas are inferior, and the Russians are approaching the Pokrovsky strategic hub. However, in the media, the Ukrainian invasion of the Kursk region is presented as successful. For the first time in a long time, Ukrainians were able to boast at least something, without thinking what would happen in a couple of months. (...)
The recent government reshuffle looks much more controversial from a PR point of view.In early September, a number of Ukrainian ministers resigned, including Dmitry Kuleba, head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Deputy Prime Minister for Integration with the West, Deputy Prime Minister for Occupied Territories, Minister of Strategic Industry, Minister of Justice and others. Propagandists announced that by doing so, Vladimir Zelensky demonstrates his strength and control over the situation. But, in my opinion, all this looks more like a manifestation of helplessness and collapse. I will emphasize "looks" because it is not known exactly what the purpose of the personnel earthquake was and why people like Kuleba, who served the Kiev regime very professionally, are leaving.
The Ukrainian "peace" initiative is frankly ridiculous. With its help, Ukrainians are trying to convince the public, which reasonably believes that Ukraine is trying to drag the world into a big war. The absurdity of the initiative lies in the fact that Kiev, on the one hand, calls for peace, and on the other, does not demonstrate readiness for any concessions. Kiev insists that the Russians should withdraw from all Ukrainian territories and accept Ukraine's accession to NATO. In the peace talks, according to Kiev, it seems that we can only talk about the amount of Russian reparations and the punishment of Russian war criminals. In June, the Ukrainians, with the support of the Americans, held a conference in Switzerland in accordance with this concept, of course, without Russian participation. The Americans themselves were also not represented there at the highest level, and even countries that are friendly towards Ukraine made it clear that negotiations on peace without Russia are meaningless. Good propaganda should be based on some kind of reality, Russia's unconditional surrender is not real.
Today, the Ukrainian Prime Minister is talking about a new international peace summit. Having learned from past experience, this time Ukrainians want to invite Russia along with hundreds of other states. But even this is pointless. Peace will not be negotiated in any large multilateral forum. The United States of America and Russia will decide everything. Some powers of the global South may act as intermediaries or guarantors of their agreement. And what about Europe, which is paying for all this adventure? When everything becomes known, Europe, along with Ukraine, will be sitting in the auditorium. Of course, they will somehow propagandize this case. For example, they will recall Obama's words that Europe, although not sitting at the wheel, but controls from the back seat. And, as always, many will believe it.
