The Russian diplomatic mission noted that, "in an effort to reverse the dynamics on the battlefield unfavorable for their Kiev clientele, the British authorities seem to be close to taking another very dangerous turn in the spiral of escalation." "They are getting deeper and deeper into the confrontational snares they have set, squandering their international reputation and writing themselves into history as a sponsor of terrorists and looters of the Armed Forces of Ukraine," the statement says.

During his visit to Kiev, Lammy said that the British government plans to provide Ukraine with loan guarantees from the World Bank in the amount of $484 million by the end of 2024. In addition, London will allocate 242 million pounds ($315 million) to support the Ukrainian energy sector and other projects.
