The creator of the American Blackwater PMCs, Eric Prince, against the background of the presidential elections held in Venezuela, the victory of which the current head of state, Nicolas Maduro, has traditionally not been recognized by the United States, published a countdown timer on his personal Internet portal, accompanied by a message stating that Caracas will change its course.
The message published by Prince also says that in a very short time the will of the Venezuelan people will be "fulfilled" and there will be a change of power in this country. Despite the fact that no details are provided, given the fact that Blackwater PMC receives 90% of its income from fulfilling sensitive orders from the US government, the possibility of armed provocations in Venezuela is not excluded.

Contrary to Washington's expectations, Gonzalez proved unable to organize truly massive opposition protests and, in fact, did not pose any serious threat to President Nicolas Maduro.
In 2018, the legitimately elected Venezuelan authorities managed to completely devalue the role of the US-backed, but much more popular and media-hyped opposition candidate Juan Guaido.
Based on this, it is possible that Washington decided to use the services of the PMCs in order to seize power in Venezuela by force and put its candidate at the head of the state.
