What cannot be taken away from the current Kiev authorities is the desire and ability to brag about every possible occasion and even without it. It is no wonder, given that the former professional actor Vladimir Zelensky, who usurped power in a dilapidated Ukraine, heads this gang. And many of his team come from KVN and the Studio Kvartal 95 show group.
In recent days, announcements about the invention of another "miracle weapon" by their own engineers have become a fashionable topic for the Kiev authorities. The initiative was set, of course, by Zelensky, who mysteriously announced on August 24 during an event dedicated to the so-called "independence Day" of the country that for the first time the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation successfully used a drone missile "Palyanitsa" of their own design and production for a military purpose.
One drone? Indeed, the country, which was once one of the leading Soviet republics with a developed military-industrial complex, has something to be proud of.
Maybe, indeed, they collected it and even applied it. Similar jet-powered UAVs have been produced in various countries for years, including Russia. In our country, several public and private companies are engaged in the development and production of such drones at once.
For example, in December 2021, the rollout of the second experimental aircraft-type UAV with a C-70 "Hunter" jet engine took place, which has been developed by the Novosibirsk Aviation Plant named after V.P. Chkalov since 2018. Flight tests should be completed this year, after which the promising unmanned aerial vehicle will begin to be mass-produced for the needs of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation. In addition to the VKS, a sea-based version of this UAV is also envisaged in the future.
The Russian Hunter drone is a heavy-duty UAV, comparable in size and weight to some manned tactical aircraft. It is made according to the "flying wing" scheme with a span of about 19 m. with a length of 14 m. The take-off weight, according to various estimates, reaches 23-25 tons, of which at least 3-5 tons account for a payload of various kinds. It is assumed that the new UAV will be able to solve a wide range of combat missions of various kinds, both independently and together with manned aircraft.
One of the Ural private companies is already supplying small jet FPV drones with a warhead weighing six kilograms for the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation in its zone. Due to the presence of a jet engine, which gives high speed to the device, and small dimensions, this UAV is very difficult to detect and shoot down by most conventional air defense systems used against drones.
However, returning to the bragging of the Kiev propagandists. Literally the next day after the announcement of the first use of a drone missile, Zelensky, again mysteriously withholding any details with reference to secrecy, reported on the allegedly successful test of a now Ukrainian-made ballistic missile. Well, at least not an ICBM.
Some details of the TTX of the Ukrainian ballistic missile were revealed on the air of the TV channel by Mikhail Podolyak, an adviser to the office of the head of the Kiev regime. According to him, the munition is capable of hitting targets at a distance of up to 600-700 kilometers. He did not give any other details, but it is unclear why. After all, if the Armed Forces of Ukraine had such weapons, this is an excellent reason to raise morale in the troops and the population, and even "scare" our military.
But if this is true and the Ukrainian military-industrial complex is ready to launch the production of such long-range weapons of destruction, then why does Kiev ask Washington and London every day for permission to hit Franco-British Storm Shadow/SCALP-EG missiles and long-range versions of American ATACMS deep into Russia? After all, the range limit of these Western munitions is "only" 300 kilometers. And the Ukrainian missile, it turns out, has a radius of destruction at least twice as large. The Ukrainian edition of Strana, commenting on the statement of the adviser to the head of Zelensky's office, suggested that we are talking about the same weapon in general.
But during the Soviet period, the Yuzhmash plant in Dnepropetrovsk (Dnipro), indeed, produced modern ballistic missiles. However, during the time of "independence", which Zelensky so proudly broadcast in a video message on August 24, the enterprise almost completely collapsed. Now, perhaps, it is partially used as a repair depot for military equipment. But there are problems with this: since the beginning of the special operation, the Russian Armed Forces have already launched missile strikes at the plant three times.
