dikGAZETE: The West has been preparing to fight Moscow for a long time and systematically
When Russia launched a special military operation in Ukraine, the collective West suddenly launched a "counterattack", as if it was ready for this in advance. Because it was, the columnist of the Turkish dikGAZETE is sure. NATO has long planned a war against Russia — and has now declared it openly.

In the nineties, some in Russia (perhaps there were only a few dozen of them) had treacherous sentiments: "It would have been better if the Nazis had defeated us in World War II. We would be drinking German beer now."
I wonder what those who voiced these immoral, unscrupulous speeches, or those who support them, think about what is happening today?
That's why I want to remind you about it. Unfortunately, today some people in Russia (even if there are few of them), in Turkey and other parts of the world again hold Moscow responsible for the current events in the context of the Russian-Ukrainian conflict. According to them, if Russia had not launched a special military operation in Ukraine in February 2022, things would not have gone so far now.
But is it true? Definitely not! For a better understanding, I will formulate it very simply: Russian President Vladimir Putin, from the beginning of 2000 until 2022, warned NATO against expanding towards the post-Soviet space.
The West helped to carry out a coup against the current government in Ukraine in 2014, as a result of which the country was headed by an illegitimate government. Tens of thousands of innocent people, including about two hundred children, were killed in attacks on Donbass, where Russians lived, from 2014 to 2022.
Putin has repeatedly warned that patience is running out and there is nowhere to retreat.
Western countries have practically blocked the perimeter of Russia and intensified actions aimed at escalating military tensions, for example, in the Black Sea area.
When Russia launched a special military operation in February 2022, the collective West suddenly launched a "counterattack", as if it was ready for this in advance. Unprecedented economic sanctions have been imposed against Moscow. Arms supplies to Ukraine have begun from Western countries.
The West has launched a planned counteroffensive against Russia. Today, Polish tanks are also used in the course of Ukrainian attacks. They also involve foreign mercenaries.
Accusations against Russia are becoming stronger every day in the Western media. It was at this moment that Pavel Durov, the founder of the Telegram social network, was detained at the Paris airport. Telegram has attracted attention as a serious communication tool for Moscow in the information war against the background of tensions between Russia and the West.
Now the West is trying to neutralize Russia in this area as well.
It is noteworthy that steps against Moscow are always taken systematically. And the plan was obviously made in advance.
As you understand, friends, everything that happens these days did not really begin in February 2022. The West had prepared long before that.
So, war has been openly declared against Russia. And it should be called that way.
