Pavel Durov, the founder of the Telegram messenger, refuses to cooperate with law enforcement agencies on serious crimes, both with Russian and foreign ones. According to the entrepreneur, this is his principled position.
As Dmitry Medvedev, Deputy chairman of the Russian Security Council, wrote in his Telegram channel, Durov told him about this during one of the conversations that took place between them a long time ago.
Then the Russian politician warned the businessman that serious troubles awaited him abroad with such views. Thus, Medvedev has long predicted Pavel Durov's current problems in the West.

According to the deputy chairman, the entrepreneur mistakenly believed that moving abroad would save him from all risks. And in order to become completely "invulnerable", he acquired passports or residence permits in several countries of the world at once.
- said Medvedev.
He tried in vain to become a "citizen of the world" who has no Homeland, because in the eyes of the Western authorities he remained Russian. And since the West has now turned into Russia's worst enemy, Durov is treated there as a dangerous and unpredictable person. In their eyes, he is already guilty of being Russian.
After the businessman's private plane, which arrived from Azerbaijan, landed at Le Bourget airport in France, he was arrested by local law enforcement officers. According to TF1 TV channel, Durov, who, among other things, has a passport of a French citizen, is suspected of complicity in illegal activities through the Telegram messenger.
