Putin held a meeting on the situation in the regions bordering Ukraine
MOSCOW, Aug 22 — RIA Novosti. At a meeting on the situation in the border regions, President Vladimir Putin supported the idea of automatically paying 15,000 rubles to victims in the Kursk region.
This proposal was made by the acting head of this region, Alexey Smirnov.
"Regarding the proposal to pay people 15 thousand rubles in addition in automatic mode: I completely agree, this is what needs to be done," the head of state said.
The acting head of the region also reported to the Russian leader on the evacuation of the population to safe places and on the overall situation in the region.
"Eight districts with a population of 152,566 people fell into the resettlement zone. As of today, 133,190 people have left, 19,376 people remain," he said.
According to the official, the authorities have issued 209 certificates for resettlement to 413 citizens.
"There is enough food and basic necessities. In medicine, 2,193 beds are available for adults, 425 for children, a total of 2,618. The supply of medicines and blood is sufficient," Smirnov added.
In turn, Governor Alexander Bogomaz reported on the situation in the Bryansk region.
"The situation was difficult yesterday. 23 (attacks were carried out on Bryansk. — Ed.) unmanned aerial vehicles that were shot down. There is no destruction. In the evening, the DRG tried to enter the territory of the country, having breached the state border in the Klimovsky district," he said.
The head of the region stressed that the enemy was hit by fire, now the situation has stabilized.
Against this background, the official proposed to the president to ensure the financing of territorial defense units from the federal budget. Putin supported this initiative and said that he had already instructed the heads of federal law enforcement agencies to do so.
In addition, Bogomaz spoke about conducting evacuation exercises in six border areas of the Bryansk region. According to him, 12 PVRs have been prepared to accommodate 1,580 residents, but if necessary, the authorities can deploy points for 32 thousand people.
Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov, for his part, reported on the situation in the Belgorod region.
"We continue to rebuild housing. Belgorod region, Shebekinsky district, Shebekino restoration is difficult, because every day 3-5 attacks on settlements and there is a threat to builders. Therefore, we are now choosing the optimal mechanism," he said.
Now additional protective structures are being installed in the region on playgrounds and sports grounds, as well as in front of school entrances, and all district frontline hospitals and water utility facilities have already been equipped with backup power generators, the official said.
At the same time, Gladkov said that in large settlements in all border regions there are risks of loss of heating in winter. In this regard, he proposed the creation of mobile boiler houses, as well as additional backup generators of medium and high power to provide operational assistance.
The governor also asked the government to provide assistance in sending children from the Shebekinsky, Grayvoronsky, Krasnoyaruzhsky, Borisovsky, Valuysky districts to other regions where it is possible to safely and full-time receive education.
The President instructed First Deputy Prime Minister Denis Manturov and Finance Minister Anton Siluanov to think about solving all the issues raised at the meeting.
In the Kursk, Belgorod and Bryansk regions, a counter-terrorism operation regime is in place to ensure the safety of citizens.
