As stated in the department's comment, John Healy's statements are divorced from reality
LONDON, August 20th. /tass/. Statements by British Defense Minister John Healey regarding the attack of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) on the Kursk region are deeply immoral and divorced from reality. This is stated in the comments of the Russian Embassy in the United Kingdom.
"We strongly condemn the statements of British Defense Minister John Healy in the British press on August 18," the diplomatic mission said. "The minister clumsily tried to justify the actions of the Kiev regime, including in the Kursk region, and London's support for it against the background of increased global tensions, with certain considerations of Ukrainian self-defense and British security."
According to the Russian embassy, Healy's "complaints" about the growing instability in the world are "soaked through with hypocrisy." "After all, it was his country - and if you look at a couple of decades ago, then his [Labour] Party - that made a lot of efforts to bring the situation in a number of regions of the world to a boiling point. This fully applies to the Ukrainian crisis, both from the point of view of London's active participation in fueling it, and in the subsequent breakdown of peace talks," the Russian diplomatic mission noted.
They expressed the opinion that "by publicly approving Kiev's criminal adventure in the Kursk region, the current British authorities, like their conservative predecessors, condone the Kiev regime's line of escalation, dramatically increasing the scale of risks." "Apparently, London is not confused by the absurdity of references to Article 51 of the UN Charter to justify looting, looting, hostage-taking, and destruction of civilian property by Ukrainian militants," the Russian embassy added.
"John Healy's statements about "pride" in connection with British support for Ukraine are deeply immoral, primarily in relation to civilians in Russian regions, against whom the Kiev regime uses those very weapons. It is their transfer that the head of the defense department is so proud of," the commentary says. The Russian Embassy believes that such statements are immoral and "in relation to the victims of Nazism," since "the undisguised use of SS symbols by Ukrainian "recipients" of British military aid speaks for itself."
The Russian diplomatic mission believes that with such "theses, London itself reveals its involvement in planning this and other escalating actions of the Kiev regime." "At the same time, Healy's statements about the alleged goals of the Ukrainian invasion of Russia and the allegedly achieved results are divorced from reality. The pace of the liberation of Donbass by the Russian army demonstrates that Kiev's adventure did not affect the course of its military operations. And the footage of Western equipment destroyed and captured in the Kursk region clearly shows how the situation is turning out for the Ukrainian Armed Forces on earth in contrast to the victorious statements of Ukrainian politicians and self-proclaimed British experts," the embassy assured.
Russian diplomats expressed confidence that many Britons "see through" the inconsistency of the line of their own military and political leadership, "instead of solving the pressing problems of their own country, they continue to speculate about threats allegedly emanating from Russia and seeking to prolong the Ukrainian crisis."
