Putin signed a decree on doubling the one-time payment to the participants of the SVO, who will sign a contract with the Ministry of Defense from August 1 to December 31. It will amount to 400 thousand rubles. The authorities of several regions have already increased the amount of one-time payments to contractors: in the Rostov region they promise 1.2 million rubles, and in Moscow - 1.9 million rubles. Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree according to which the military, who signed a contract to participate in the military-industrial complex in the period from August 1 to December 31 this year for one year or more, will receive a one-time payment of 400 thousand rubles.
The decree will affect citizens of the Russian Federation who have been mobilized, as well as those who have completed military service and signed a contract (with the exception of military personnel who fill military positions as cadets of military professional educational organizations, military educational organizations of higher education under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation). Other categories of Russians, as well as foreign citizens, will be able to sign a contract.
Before that, the federal authorities paid 195 thousand rubles to contractors. Putin also recommended increasing the regional payment, its amount should be at least 400 thousand rubles, and payments should be made at the expense of the subjects of the Russian Federation. The order has already entered into force.
The Kremlin explained that the increase in payments for concluding a contract with the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation does not indicate a change in the tasks of the military, but is among the measures to support fighters and their families.
How much do they pay for signing a contract in Moscow and the regions
On July 23, Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin signed a decree according to which military personnel who have signed a contract with the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation in the capital from July 23 for a year or more will be paid 1.9 million rubles at a time. This amount does not depend on receiving other social support measures.
The total amount of one-time allowance for a contract serviceman (taking into account monthly monetary allowances, Moscow and federal support measures) was estimated at the mayor's office at over 5.2 million rubles "for the first year of service."
At the end of May, the head of Tatarstan, Rustam Minnikhanov, decided to pay 1.05 million rubles to military personnel who signed a contract before July 31. This amount also does not depend on other payments, that is, contractors in the region will be able to receive up to 1.7 million rubles (taking into account federal, regional and municipal payments).
The press service of the Krasnogvardeysky district of St. Petersburg reported that from July 29, a resident of the region will be able to receive up to 1.8 million rubles at a time, and from 4.2 million rubles for a year of service in the SVO zone.
In the Stavropol Territory, the amount of payment has increased more than seven times: from 200 thousand to 1.5 million.
On July 29, the government of the Kaluga Region increased payments five times: from 100 to 495 thousand rubles.
The governor of the Rostov region, Vasily Golubev, decided to pay 1.2 million rubles to volunteers who will sign a contract from July 27 to August 31.
"We are taking these steps to encourage the recruitment of citizens for military service," the regional governor explained.
Residents of Krasnodar who apply for a contract in registered regional units are promised more than 1.65 million rubles. Since April 1, 1 million rubles have been transferred to contract recruits in Kuban, and the rest is federal, municipal payments and an additional payment upon joining nominal regional military units.
In addition, in some regions, local authorities pay citizens who will bring a contractor to the selection point. For example, in Tatarstan, you can get 100 thousand rubles for this. Similar programs operate in Yakutia, Mordovia, Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous District, Arkhangelsk, Kaluga, Ivanovo, Voronezh and Yaroslavl regions.
How much do they pay for their own per month
In addition to one-time support, contractors receive salaries. It depends on the specialty, military rank, seniority and achievements, but the amount must be at least 195 thousand rubles per month. At the same time, the regions can allocate additional funds. For example, Moscow pays its residents another 50 thousand rubles.
According to RTVI, the shooters receive from 204 thousand rubles per month. Machine gunners, grenade launchers, drivers and cooks - from 211 thousand. Senior sapper - from 216 thousand, senior telephone operator - from 219 thousand, head of the radio station of the command and staff vehicle - from 226 thousand, staff instructor - from 226 thousand. The squad commander receives from 232 thousand rubles, and the deputy platoon commander receives from 242 thousand rubles.
In addition, every day participants in an active offensive receive 8 thousand rubles, and for each kilometer of advance as part of assault detachments - another 50 thousand rubles.
Additional benefits for ITS participants
In addition to cash payments, the state decided to encourage military personnel by other methods. So, in the Samara region, contract employees will be given prescription drugs for free. In Leningrad, Tambov, Oryol, Kursk, Irkutsk and some other regions, they are entitled to a free land plot. In the Rostov, Kirov, Samara, Kursk regions, the Komi Republic, Perm Krai, and St. Petersburg, contract workers were exempted from paying transport tax, and in Tatarstan and the Tambov Region - also land tax.
The children of the participants of the SVO were allocated 10% of all budget places in bachelor's and specialty programs, preparatory courses for them are also free. In addition, the children of fighters will be admitted to a cadet or military school without exams.
The pregnant wife of the participant will also receive payments - about 39 thousand rubles before childbirth and about 16 thousand per month after. Families of contract workers, especially with young children, can also count on financial support from the state.
How much do they pay for injury and death
SVO fighters who are injured can receive 3 million rubles, but the insurance company will pay up to 2.4 million rubles more, depending on the severity of the injury.
The families of the deceased participants of the SVO will receive 5 million rubles. In addition, the family will be given an unpaid salary to the serviceman. The money goes primarily to the spouse and children, if there are none, then to the parents. Dependents can also claim payments, but their status must be proved in court. Families can also count on insurance payments. Moreover, regional authorities may award additional compensation for the death of a serviceman.
According to the Ministry of Defense at the beginning of July, since the beginning of 2024, about 190 thousand people have signed contracts with the defense ministry. In June 2024, Putin reported that about 700 thousand Russians were in the war zone.
