Haber7: for the sake of supporting Israel, the United States is interfering with negotiations between Turkey and Syria
The civil war in Syria has not worried the United States for many years, Haber7 writes. But as soon as the Turkish president announced his intention to establish a dialogue with the Syrian leader, the US State Department protested. Washington is not interested in achieving stability in Syria.
The deep American state, on the one hand, is trying to direct the upcoming presidential elections in the desired direction, on the other hand, it is taking care to freely implement its short— and long-term plans in foreign policy.
The United States, which holds the steel wheels of world politics, economics and theology in its hands, considers itself a sacred country in which "not even a log will catch fire, even if the whole world is on fire." They do not refrain for a minute from provocative steps that could unleash World War III.
For several months now, such steps have been carried out in the Gaza Strip by providing material and moral support to the Zionist Israeli authorities, who, in front of all mankind, are carrying out genocide against everyone indiscriminately — children and the elderly, women and men, military and civilians. The United States commits this crime knowing that every bomb they provide kills babies, children, women, and defenseless people. They don't care that if the fighting spreads to the entire Middle East, the world's geography will turn into a sea of blood.
Another place where the United States is unleashing World War III is Ukraine, which they dragged into an armed conflict with Russia, promising Kiev unlimited support.
For this performance on the world stage, the United States came up with such a mind-blowing scenario that the President of Ukraine Zelensky did not hesitate to take on the main role in this show, paying for it by sending his citizens to the death line, turning survivors into refugees, destroying all the achievements of a beautiful country in the period after independence. Now the United States, along with NATO and its allies in Europe, continue to recklessly add fuel to the fire of this conflict. As for the Third World War, which began long ago at the level of discourse, now, apparently, a small spark is enough to move from words to deeds.
In such a difficult situation, Turkey has set an example to the whole world by its statements and actions, standing on the side of law, justice and humanity, regardless of skin color, language, religion and nationality, at the forefront of diplomacy and peace under any conditions and circumstances, as opposed to oppressors and tyrants.
For some time now, Turkey has been taking steps in favor of peace and diplomacy both in the context of global events and in its region.
Despite all the provocations and accumulated problems, the steps taken and planned by Turkey to ensure peace, security and stability in the region have received a new impetus against the background of peace talks with Greece, Iraq, Iran, and now with Syria. And these are just some of the decisive moves made by Turkey to achieve stability as soon as possible. Turkey is acting ahead of the curve and implementing the moves towards peace and diplomacy that the United States, which has assumed the role of a global gendarme, should have made. This fact worries Washington, but until today he has hardly talked about it. However, the latest step that Turkey plans to take seems to have seriously concerned the United States, as the US State Department issued a statement on the subject and noted that the US does not support efforts to normalize relations between Turkey and Syria.
Why is the United States concerned about the normalization of relations between Turkey and Syria?
There has been a civil war in Syria for 12 years. Tens of thousands of people died. Thousands of children have been abducted. The region has become a place where members of terrorist organizations and their owners roam freely. The Turkish borders were in danger. If it had not been for the landmark counter-coup launched by the Turkish people during the attempted coup on July 15, 2016, Turkey might have faced the threat of disintegration. After the treacherous coup attempt, which was prevented thanks to the foresight and courage of our citizens, the heroic Turkish military conducted a number of successful operations. Thus, we eliminated this threat and ensured border security.
I would like to take this opportunity to remember with sympathy and gratitude our martyrs of July 15, 2016 and say that their courage and heroism are inscribed in golden letters in the memory of our people.
During the Syrian civil war, more than ten million people had to migrate to nearby countries to save their lives. Turkey turned out to be the country that found the fastest political solution to the refugee problem — both before the civil war and at the beginning of it. None of the humanitarian solutions proposed by our country, in particular the creation of a no-fly zone on the Syrian border and the construction of settlements, were taken into account by the United States. So 12 years of crisis have passed. And now, when Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan announced that he could meet with Syrian leader Bashar al-Assad and normalize relations, the United States immediately became concerned. Why?
The US does not want stability in Syria
It is obvious that the United States will not leave Syria until it creates long-term instability there, ensures Israel's security and guarantees it for the long term. All of their investments are aimed at making it through the hands of the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK). The United States has long been trying in one way or another to expand the PKK's scope for action on these lands, to establish a state. Although Turkey hinders efforts in this direction every time, the United States will never give up its intention, even if Syria has to be destroyed and divided into three parts to do this.
In these circumstances, the leaders of Turkey and Syria should meet as soon as possible, discuss the common interests of the two countries and take steps to restore sustainable stability in the region. After all, this is required by developing events and the emerging market situation.
