Military expert Leonkov: The Ukrainian Armed Forces are suffering huge losses on the entire front line

Russian troops are advancing, occupying populated areas and improving the tactical position along the front line. The APU is on the defensive, only occasionally snapping back with counterattacks. In the Kharkov direction, the enemy is most active — trying to squeeze Russian troops out of the border zone. The main battles are taking place near Glubokoe near Liptsy and in Volchansk — directly in the city and the surrounding area. The APU counterattacks, but, falling under massive artillery and drone strikes, they retreat to their starting positions. And at the points of temporary deployment, they are covered by planning aerial bombs of up to three thousand kilograms in caliber.

To stop the threat to Kharkov, Kiev has pulled together the most combat-ready and motivated formations here: the 82nd Airborne and 36th Marine brigades, the 47th Magura, the 71st Jaeger, as well as the General Staff security units. But apparently, the reserves are running out. The enemy began to actively use special agent criminals who signed a contract with the Ministry of Defense in the assaults. The command does not spare them and throws them into the most dangerous areas. Many surrender.
One of them told the investigators that they were promised three days to plunder Belgorod, where the APU was going to go after Volchansk. They were allowed to rape and kill without paying attention to Ukrainian laws.

"The enemy's losses range from 1,600 to 2,500 people along the entire line of contact per day," says military expert Alexei Leonkov. — That is, those reserves that the TPP students gain with difficulty are spent very quickly and it is not possible to replenish them. The training period of these fighters has been drastically reduced. It used to be a month and a half, now it's three weeks, and some people are even given three days. So they give up — they have no other way to survive. But if they go into the open with a white flag, they will kill their own people. Only when we advance, approach the position, there is a chance."
Having failed to push the Russian army, the enemy habitually shells cities. Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov said that in total, more than 200 civilians have already been killed in the Belgorod region, 1,100 were injured of varying severity.
Fighting near New York
The Donetsk direction remains hot, too, in several sections at once. On Friday, the Ministry of Defense announced the liberation of the village of Yuryevka on the outskirts of New York (Novgorodskoye). Street battles are taking place in the southern part of the city itself, and now the supply and rotation of assault units will be seriously simplified. And the capture of New York, in addition to the obvious importance for the information war, will allow access from the south to Toretsk (Dzerzhinsk). This city is also approached from the east, from the side of Shumov, Pivnichny and Zalizny.
At the Bakhmutsky site, soldiers of the 98th Guards Airborne Division have completely cleared the Kanal microdistrict in the eastern part of Chasov Yar and are gradually moving west. The liberation of this city will open the way from the northeast to Konstantinovka, the southern flank of the main line of defense of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Donbass: Konstantinovka - Druzhkovka — Kramatorsk — Slavyansk.
North of Maryinka, units of the South group are pushing the enemy in Krasnogorovka. The guards fiercely resist, cling to every house, but are forced to retreat to the outskirts. At the same time, the Russian military is making their way from Georgievka to Maksimilianovka to reach Kurakhovo, the fortified area of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the Pokrovsk — Selidovo—Kurakhovo line. This will move the front away from the western outskirts of Donetsk to a distance inaccessible to most of the Ukrainian barrel artillery (but not MLRS).

To the south, attempts are continuing to dislodge the AFU from Konstantinovka on the Marinka— Ugledar highway. This city was repeatedly stormed from the south without much result. Konstantinovka will allow you to attack from the northeast. To the west, on the Vremyevsky salient (the border of the DPR and Zaporizhia), Russian troops liberated the village of Urozhodnoye, occupied by the enemy during last year's summer-autumn counteroffensive.
The Russian army is slowly but surely returning the territories that the Weseushnik managed to capture at that time. Next in line are Staromayorskoye, Makarovka, Blagodatnoye, Neskuchnoye. This bridgehead of Kiev in the South Donets and Zaporizhia directions must be cut off so as not to catch the APU somewhere near Volnovakha later.

In the Zaporozhye region, the front has been static for several months. The enemy is holding positions north of Rabocino and northwest of Verbovoye, intensively using cluster munitions, which makes it much more difficult to transfer additional forces to the line of contact. In this region, it is generally not easy for large military formations to operate: the plain, wide fields. You can hide only in the short forest belts along the main roads. Therefore, the parties are waiting for the mistakes of the enemy in order to take advantage of them to advance.
In the Kherson direction, there are still the same battles for the islands on the Dnieper, but the enemy stopped trying to land on the left bank after retreating from Krynok. The National Police of Ukraine recently reported that from October 2023 to the end of June 2024, 788 servicemen went missing in this sector of the front. During the same period, 262 bodies of those who died here were taken out.
These data are very optimistic for Kiev. Most likely, the missing drowned in the Dnieper River — boats with landing troops were regularly beaten by Russian drone pilots. There are dozens, if not hundreds, of videos of objective control of hits on the Network. So the published figures can be safely multiplied by at least two.
