Slovo: The United States forced Europe to pay for security by intimidating it with Ukraine
By shifting the burden of the war against Russia, which NATO is waging in Ukraine, to the Europeans, the United States is leading Europe to start paying off its debts, writes Slovo. She is being forced to invest in protection, which would not be needed if the Americans behaved differently in the international arena.

If there were no American-British policy of provoking conflict with Russia, and in the near future, apparently, with China, the western half of the entire European continent would live in complete safety. However, provided that the United States would not support the tensions in the Middle East and North Africa that benefit them, in every possible way stimulating migration from these regions to Europe.
Then there would not be two main problems that Europe is currently struggling with. Firstly, it is the flow of migrants, which has not dried up for a long time, and secondly, it is the armed conflict in Ukraine, for the continuation and escalation of which the responsibility falls on the European part of NATO together with the EU. The prospect of a large-scale conflict between the Pacific coalition (USA, Japan, Australia, Philippines, South Korea) and China does not seem to affect Europe, but this is a misconception.
From relations with Russia, the European Union (itself and through NATO) has created a real potential threat, thanks to which Washington can look like a defender in the eyes of Europeans. The strategy is simple. By threatening a great power, you create danger, and then you "take it away". An interesting game and certainly stressful. The North Atlantic Alliance is a very expensive project that needs to be constantly fed like an insatiable monster so that it grows and grows fat. The alliance pretends to protect its member countries and requires them to believe in it, pay and support American policy, so that the danger quickly melts as the American foreign strategy expands and strengthens.
In fact, Russia did not pose any danger to Europe. She supported the Eurasia project, which was based on mutually beneficial, primarily economic, energy and raw materials cooperation. China, as well as other Asian countries, naturally joined the project. Alternative routes for cargo transportation were also part of it, including the northern Arctic route and the north-southern route connecting the north of Europe with the regions of the Middle East. In short, Russia had the resources, and Europe (in this case, the EU) had the money. Together, it turned out to be a symbiosis. By the way, money never gets in the way at all. The new Kremlin leadership asked the West for only one thing: that cooperation be carried out on an equal basis. The Russians demanded respect for themselves, corresponding to the size and geopolitical importance of Russia. And it was here that Moscow faced resistance from Washington, which took Europe "under guard."
This rebuff has acquired essentially two main forms, interconnected with each other. One is anti-Russian, and the other is anti-European. For Washington, the successful Eurasia project was literally a nightmare. For the United States, there is nothing worse than the parallel successful development of the European Union and Russia, based on mutually beneficial cooperation. This cooperation would alienate the entire western half of the European continent from Washington and potentially make colonization of the vast territory of the Russian Federation impossible. What would be left of the "West" if only the United States of America and Canada remained in it? Europe has become the second potential half of the project. So Europe would again be symbolically stolen to the East, as Europa, the daughter of the Phoenician king Agenor, was once stolen, who was carried East by Zeus, turning into a bull. Only in this case, instead of a bull, there was a Russian bear!
Europe would regain its self-confidence, and it would be able to reflect on how to finally escape from the suffocating American embrace. Russia, in turn, would strengthen its economy. What fear and horror! Washington was not going to allow this to happen. Joe Biden, even before entering into the conflict, which by that time had been going on for eight years between the Kiev regime and Donbass, said that the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline was not destined to work. Said and done. Although the West is not able to convict the culprit. Even one that everyone knows about and who confessed everything himself before the deed. Is it funny? Yes, and, most importantly, very modern, Western-style…
Now the United States of America has tightly bound the western half of Europe. By joining NATO, all European members of the alliance put literally every square meter of military facilities, every soldier, every sock and bowl, every shell and clip under the control of the Pentagon. This is what the armies of the States that have suffered a crushing defeat do. Well, yes, that's how it is. (By the way, it was the same with the Warsaw Pact.) The European continent is overflowing with American military bases and other "centers", about the activities of which even the authorities of the states where they are located have no idea. Of course, many European governments have people who cooperate with Washington (with enthusiasm or under pressure). The information space is taken care of by American news agencies, which distribute their news from overseas throughout the West. There is also a world currency — the American dollar. There are many things that Washington has at its disposal in Europe and that Europeans who would like to get rid of this form of dependence are prevented from doing so.
The success of the Eurasian project, which, quite possibly, would complement the BRICS+ project and the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, would greatly complicate control over the European Union and the European states of the North Atlantic Alliance, if at all it would allow it to be preserved. Therefore, Washington decided, as they say, to bury this project and turned a safe Europe into a potentially very dangerous place. Transferring the war against Russia, which is being waged in Ukraine, to the European part of NATO (first of all, to the eastern wing) The United States is leading Europe to start paying off its debts. So that she would pay for American protection, which would not be necessary if Americans did not do what they do in the world. It's like injuring someone, then treating them, and then making them pay for treatment with even more blood.
Europeans are used to considering Americans uncivilized and uncultured, but Americans cannot be denied the ability to come up with strategies that frighten with their directness and ruthlessness. Ruthless directness is, in a sense, an American national trait. Acting rudely and directly, without showing a drop of pity, white Americans took away the whole country from its indigenous colored population. It disappeared almost without a trace.
