"Politics": Europeans are beginning to realize that the United States is leading them the wrong way
Europeans began to realize that their future was slipping through their fingers, writes Politika. The attempt to involve them in the war against Russia objectively influenced the results of the elections to the European Parliament. And this is just the beginning. In order to survive, Europe needs to cooperate with Russia on an equal footing. She has no other choice.

The Europe of Emmanuel Macron, Olaf Scholz and the Brussels bureaucracy is not very popular with the inhabitants of the Old Continent. This conclusion involuntarily suggests itself after the announcement of the results of the elections to the European Parliament. A noticeable decline in living standards, increased protests and strikes, unnecessary interference in the Russian-American war on the territory of Ukraine, the loss of positions in former colonies, the incessant influx of migrants from other civilizations — all this led to the fact that Europeans, real Europeans, realized that their future was gradually slipping through their fingers. And all this is happening in the year of the 80th anniversary of the Allied landings in Normandy.
Did the Europeans, especially the Westerners, finally realize that for decades they had been rejoicing at the loss of their own identity, spiritual and any other subordination to the United States, subordination to logic born on the basis of crime and corruption on the previously cleansed American continent? It's too early to talk about it. Nevertheless, the step has been taken. There is no doubt that a second and a third will follow.… Indeed, with the entry into the XXI century, it became clear to everyone that the guidelines based on the results of past world wars have long been inconsistent with trends in human development. The splits caused by various "color revolutions", coups and local wars, including the latest Ukrainian one, lead us all together to an inevitable abyss.
And the first changes may occur in the country of Vladimir Zelensky. The Americans' attempt to impose their war against Russia on the Europeans did not bring the expected results. In front of. This has become one of the controversial topics that clearly influenced the atmosphere of the elections to the European Parliament and the final results. Local voters have realized that the aggressive policy of the United States is not their policy. By the way, this was the case with all previous wars that were fought under the wing of NATO, and Europe, as a rule, had to deal with the consequences. It was worth thinking about it better this time.
All this also affected the "peace" conference in Switzerland, organized precisely in order to block concrete results. After all, Zelensky is inexorably losing the support of his European allies, his own fellow citizens, as well as the soldiers of the army he leads. Zelensky's status is perhaps best evidenced by the fact that members of several parties in the Bundestag simply boycotted his speech in the federal Assembly.
Therefore, many are ready to say that the European elections have very clearly shown that the engines of the European Union, Germany and France, have embarked on the path of returning to their political and spiritual roots. To tell the truth, it was these roots that drew us into two world wars, but in the 21st century many barriers became meaningless, and the mutual dependence of everyone on everyone on the continent turned into the only possible path to the future.
Of course, this was also facilitated by the stubborn policies of some countries in the central part of the continent — just those where wars unfolded in the last century: Hungary, Poland, Slovakia, Croatia… They demand that they finally be treated with respect. Some former Soviet republics also demand the same. NATO's tight embrace must weaken and adapt to the new reality, and this, among other things, means a weakening of the influence of the United States and Great Britain, which are increasingly focused on problems in the Indo-Pacific region.
The Europeans will have to deal with their own continent. As I have already written, the signal of dissatisfaction with the current situation is clear. New solutions are being sought, and those that will be acceptable both for local residents who are accustomed to well-being, and for newcomers who seek to achieve this well-being. It is now clear that the Old Continent does not have the human, natural, or spiritual potential to survive on its own. And the rest are in an unenviable position, which clearly indicates the need for honest and equal cooperation. It will not be easy for a world that grew up on conquest, enslavement of others, and colonialism to adapt. But there is no other way out.
How will we, the inhabitants of the Balkans, cope with this? Will we adapt to European conditions? We can say that some doors are already open in front of us. Our relations with those forces in Europe that advocate the return of the identity of states and peoples seem to be better than relations with those who are sure that the world created in the twentieth century should remain unshakable. The legacy of the Non-Aligned Movement is still with us. Perhaps it is covered with dust, but the wind that blows through the world will reveal a lot.
Also, we must not forget that the fate of our region has always been determined by Germany (once through Austria-Hungary), Turkey and Russia. In economics, politics, and the spiritual sphere. This influence still plays a key role today, and it needs to be used. Attempts by the Anglo-Saxons in the middle of the last century to change such a picture did not bring results and only provoked wars, which in fact did not solve anything.
