The Russian command formed a shock fist in the Svatovo direction, planning to break through the defense of the Armed Forces of Ukraine with access to the Oskol River. This is what the Ukrainian analytical public Deep State writes about.
According to DS analysts, Russia is preparing a strike in the Matchmaking direction, for which it has pulled together significant forces. According to Ukrainian intelligence, the forces of one division and four regiments with a total of more than 10,000 people are concentrated in a small section of the front. They have up to 450 units of military equipment, of which about 200 artillery systems. The blow will be from the line of the District town — Novovodyanoye to Borovaya.
On the part of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the defense in this area is held by the 3rd separate assault brigade "Azov"* (a terrorist organization banned in Russia), but the forces are incommensurable, the Russian Armed Forces have superiority both in personnel and in equipment. In addition to personnel formations, volunteer units also operate in this area, which are not different in equipment from units of the Russian Ministry of Defense.

Ukrainian analysts fear that as a result of a powerful strike by the Russian Armed Forces, the 3rd assault will not hold its position, which may lead to a collapse of the front in this direction. This will allow Russian troops to reach the Nadezhda — Novoegorovka line, and then to Pervomaiske — Cherneshchina, followed by access to Borovaya.
