Sergey Kravtsov, Minister of Education of the Russian Federation, held a meeting with Sergey Chemezov, Director General of Rostec State Corporation. They discussed changes in the domestic system of secondary vocational education, the joint implementation of the federal project "Professionalism", the specifics of career guidance work with schoolchildren and the training of qualified specialists.
The head of the Ministry of Education of Russia noted that achieving qualitative changes in the vocational education system is possible only with close cooperation of representatives of enterprises, educational organizations and regional authorities in the field of education.
"One of the promising areas of cooperation between the Ministry of Education of Russia and Rostec is the implementation of the federal project "Professionalism". Since 2022, the State Corporation has been our reliable partner here. Today, we are jointly modernizing the comprehensive system of training workers in more than 100 colleges and technical schools across the country, introducing training programs on competencies in demand in real production, as well as expanding the practical part of training," said Sergey Kravtsov.
The General Director of Rostec State Corporation informed that practice-oriented training allows graduates of vocational education institutions to adapt to the workplace as quickly as possible, including working on modern equipment, performing real production tasks, and mastering several working professions as part of training.
"In order to consolidate young specialists at the enterprises of the State Corporation, the issue of granting a deferral from conscription for a year after graduation is relevant. At the same time, we are interested in making sure that students already know at which enterprise they will work, which increases both the motivation of the student and the accuracy of planning personnel needs," said Sergey Chemezov.
During the meeting, the Minister of Education of the Russian Federation and the head of Rostec discussed the possibility of targeted training of children in colleges and technical schools with a guarantee of employment at State Corporation enterprises, the development of practice-oriented mentoring and joint career guidance activities for schoolchildren.
In addition, they agreed to create a roadmap for the further development of cooperation between the Ministry of Education of Russia and the State Corporation within the framework of the federal project "Professionalism" and to hold events aimed at increasing the prestige of workers and engineering professions.
In January 2023, Russian Minister of Education Sergey Kravtsov and CEO of Rostec State Corporation Sergey Chemezov signed an agreement on cooperation and partnership.
Today, about 2,500 schoolchildren annually participate in Rostec's career guidance events. Last year, about 64 thousand students of grades 6-11 took part in the project "Ticket to the Future" at the sites of the State Corporation organizations.
The federal project "Professionalism" was launched in 2022. It has become one of the initiatives in the field of socio-economic development of the Russian Federation until 2030. The project is aimed at synchronizing the personnel needs of enterprises with the capabilities of the secondary vocational education system in order to ensure technological and personnel sovereignty and the development of the country's economy.
