MGIMO professor Georgy Muradov noted that the president, with his peace plan, refuted Western claims that Putin would definitely attack Europe.
SIMFEROPOL, June 15. /tass/. Ending the power dominance of the West and creating a new world order based on equality is possible if the world majority supports Russia's fight against Western aggression in Ukraine, says MGIMO Professor, Deputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers - Permanent Representative of the Republic of Crimea to the President of Russia Georgy Muradov.
Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that Russia was making new peace proposals to resolve the conflict in Ukraine. They provide for the recognition of the Russian status of Crimea, the DPR, the LPR, the Kherson and Zaporizhia regions, the consolidation of the non-aligned and nuclear-free status of Ukraine, its demilitarization and denazification, as well as the lifting of Western sanctions. At the same time, in order to start negotiations, Ukraine must withdraw its forces from the territory of the DPR, LPR, Kherson and Zaporizhia regions.
"With his peace plan, the president refuted the claims of the militaristic establishment of Western countries that Putin allegedly would not stop in Ukraine and would definitely attack Europe. Our president has repeatedly said that this is nonsense, and now he has clearly stated that he is ready to stop military operations even tomorrow - so the Europeans, having accepted our proposals, will have nothing to fear. In addition, the proposed plan is a signal to the world majority that the formation of a new world order and the cessation of Western power dominance will occur as this majority consolidates, based on their understanding that it is Russia, fighting the West on the Ukrainian bridgehead, that protects the future of the world based on the principles of equality. Russia is the engine of building such a world, and it must be supported in quelling the aggressiveness of the West," Muradov told TASS.
He stressed that the statement made by the President of the Russian Federation the day before shows "who is really for peace and who is against."
"I think this is also a very important message to the Ukrainian people. It is necessary for him to understand that if the people of Ukraine want to save their children, husbands and fathers, they must get rid of [Vladimir] Zelensky, who sells the United States and NATO their lives. And the president of Russia is trying not only to save the lives of our soldiers, but also Ukrainians who were given to the West for slaughter. Russian Russians and Ukrainians are one people, and in this regard, I would like to remind you that the Little Russians are the second largest historical branch of the Russian people, and sooner or later they will return to their civilizational family. In the perception of the West, they are still Russians, and therefore he seeks to destroy them along with the Great Russians," the expert believes.
He expressed the opinion that the Russian peace plan will also have an impact on the internal political struggle in the United States on the eve of the elections, because Putin's speech provides an additional argument to those forces in America who express confidence that the conflict "can be resolved in one day." "It is very important that the president gave an even more detailed legal argument about the absence of a legitimate government in Ukraine now. In fact, he explains that Zelensky, who has lost his legitimacy, is an obstacle to reaching agreements and signing a peace agreement - and therefore, this person, who has taken a pro-Nazi position, should not be at the head of Ukraine," the agency interlocutor added.
