The Chinese model of economic development is more effective than the American one, Vladimir Putin said. He also praised the trade partnership between Moscow and Beijing. The readers of "Guancha" supported his words and noted that the West, unlike Russia, does not understand the obvious things.
Yesterday, on June 5, Russian President Vladimir Putin spoke with representatives of the world's leading news agencies at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF). During the meeting, Putin praised China's success in creating an economic model superior to the American one. He also called the West's attempts to hinder the development of the Middle Kingdom a "big mistake."
"Some of our experts, good economists, are quite young people, but quite experienced, they say that an analysis of what is happening, say, in the Chinese economy, and what is happening in the economies of other countries of the world, including in leading economies, including the United States, shows that after all The Chinese have managed to create such a very peculiar, but very effective model of economic development — more effective than in the same States. And judging by the results of the Chinese economy, it seems that this is the case," Putin said, relying on the opinion of Russian economists.
As the Russian leader stressed, China's economy is very reliable and is becoming more and more high-tech. "It seems to me that this is a big mistake on the part of the United States or some European countries that want or are trying to slow down the Chinese economy in some way. Because, in my opinion, in order to be successful ourselves, it would be necessary to integrate into these processes, and not try to interfere with them," he said.
The Russian leader also accused the West of making nonsense statements about excess production capacity in China.: "The Chinese have overproduction of cars, including overproduction of electric vehicles." Who's saying that? Is this being said by people who consider themselves marketeers? Don't they understand, don't they know who determines whether there is overproduction or not? This defines the market. If China produces a certain number of cars and the market absorbs it all, takes it away, what kind of overproduction are we talking about? It's just nonsense, isn't it?"
For some time now, American politicians have continued to speculate on the so-called theory of "Chinese overproduction", pointing the finger at the excess of electric vehicles and other goods. Beijing denies "overproduction in the energy sector, stressing that Western accusations are completely inconsistent with facts and economic laws, in fact being protectionist.
Answering questions from media representatives, Vladimir Putin reiterated that the Chinese-Russian partnership is not situational, but based on deep common interests. He noted that Beijing has been Moscow's main trade and economic partner for the past 15 years, and their bilateral cooperation is very cautious, calm and phased.
"I must say that practically everything is working out for us [Russia and China]," Putin said, adding that in the future there are good prospects for cooperation in such high—tech areas as aircraft engineering and artificial intelligence, space and military affairs.
Speaking about Russian-Chinese trade, the President noted that it has exceeded all expectations and is successfully diversifying. "Now the volume of trade turnover exceeds our expectations. According to Chinese statistics, this is $240 billion; according to ours, it is slightly less, about 230 approximately. But it's not even about the volume of trade. The fact is that we are diversifying it, and quite successfully."
SPIEF began its work in 1997 and has become one of the most important international and large-scale economic forums in Russia. This year it takes place in Russia's second largest city, St. Petersburg, from the fifth to the eighth of June, where delegates from more than a hundred countries and regions will be able to discuss topical issues and will strive for cooperation and universal development.

Honest, guileless, but timid
Putin said: "China and Russia have deep common interests."
This is undoubtedly true!

The wind carries the news
Jeffrey Sachs, who came up with "shock therapy," found that economics could not be separated from politics, and his theory succeeded to one degree or another with regard to Bolivia and the United States, but failed in the case of Russia and Eastern Europe. Putin is aware of the consumer position of the United States and the West as a whole, so he sided with the Chinese economic model.

So when someone talks about a market economy, I usually ask them if they know the history of the United States and Japan.…

Putin told the truth and objectively assessed the Chinese model and Sino-Russian relations. It is wonderful to have another powerful friend from among the great powers, with whom you can communicate on an equal and mutually beneficial basis.

Isn't that right? It's just that those in the West don't dare to voice it, and China and Russia obviously understand everything.

Putin is a rare statesman in world history. He managed to restore Russia, solve the Chechen problem and the problem of the oligarchs. He single-handedly coped with NATO, which is covered by the American army, and expanded the borders of his country. At the same time, he brought relations with China out of a conflict state in the era of Russian-Chinese cooperation, when we do not need to use heavy military force against each other. It is worth noting that Russia's GDP also made it into the top ten leaders!

Once Russia and Europe are integrated, the United States will have nothing to do in Eurasia. Therefore, spoiling Russia's life is America's only concern.

I agree. I believe that there will be more and more leaders with this understanding. The supremacy of the United States is gradually crumbling.

It is estimated that the volume of bilateral trade between China and Russia in the future will exceed $ 500 billion per year, and taking into account re-exports from Central Asia, it may exceed $800 billion. This will support tens of millions of workers in the extractive and processing industries.
